This label represents conformity to EU emissions standards (exhaust gases and noise levels) set by the European Parliament and the Council. These standards for 4-stroke outboard motors are effective from January 1st, 2006. The outboard motors with the former “EU 2005 Emissions Standards” label also conform to these standards.
Suzuki’s 4-stroke technology ensures compliance with EPA 2006 exhaust emission standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The three-star label identifies engines that meet the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) 2008 exhaust emission standards. The two-star label identifies engines that meet the CARB 2004 exhaust emission standards. CARB 2008 (three-star) and 2004 (two-star) represent 65% and 20% lower emissions than the EPA 2006 standards.

The largest displacement four-strokes in their class Suzuki’s talent for delivering high-end power from compact designs is evident in this pair of in-line four-cylinder outboards. V-Twin Outboard
Suzuki engineers have a talent for delivering high power output from compact, lightweight designs, and a good example is the new DF25. Weighing just 69kg (152lbs.), it’s made for boaters and fishermen who are looking for big power output from an outboard that’s both compact and lightweight.
Compact, lightweight V-Twin design is big on power The DF25 is the first Suzuki four-stroke to utilize a V-Twin design. Two cylinders, each displacing 269cm3 (538cm3 total displacement), with 2 overhead valves per cylinder produce maximum power output at 5,000rpm. Operation is smooth with little vibration thanks to a 70º V-angle, which also contributes to the outboard’s compact size. This layout also places the outboard’s centre of gravity further forward, providing good balance on the transom and making the engine easier to tilt—a welcome advantage when tilting the engine by hand.
Clean, economical operation The DF25 fully complies with 2006 EPA and forthcoming EURO 1 Emissions standards (EU Directive 2003/44/EC). It also delivers fuel economy far superior to any comparable two-stroke.

A new digital capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) system provides optimal ignition timing and delivers a hotter spark making recoil starting easier and more reliable. Packed with features The DF6, DF5, and DF4 are powered by a single cylinder 4-stroke OHV engine with a displacement of 138cm3, the largest single cylinder found in this class. With a 68cm3 displacement, the DF2.5’s OHV engine delivers plenty of power for small tenders and inflatables. It features easy-to-pull recoil starting and Suzuki’s Pointless Electronic Ignition system for precise ignition timing.
