Se trata de las tres preposiciones clásicas para expresar la ubicación de algo o de alguien.
1. IN- ¿Cómo usarla? Se usa para ubicar en un área. We live IN La Isla. Nosotros vivimos en la Isla
2. ON ¿Como Usarla? Se usa para ubicar en una superficie There is a lot of garbage ON the floor. Hay mucha basura en el suelo
3. AT- ¿Como usarla? Se usa para ubicar en un lugar determinado. My parents are AT work. Mis padres están en el trabajando.
PREPOSICIÓNES DE LUGAR
1. ABDOVE- ENCIMA, ARRIBA, MÁS ARRIBA The city is 300 meters above sea level. La cuidad está a 300 metros por encima del nivel del mar.
2. ACROSS- A LO ANCHO DE, A TRAVÉS DE, AL OTRO LADO DE. The bike passed through them. La moto pasó a través de ellos. Laura walked across the road. Laura cruzó la carretera
3. ALONG- A LO LARGO DE We look along everybody. Nosotros miramos a lo largo de todas las personas

5. AGAINST- CONTRA, EN CONTRA DE. The plant is against the wall. La planta está contra la pared

7. BEHIND- DETRÁS, DETRÁS DE. My dog is behind him sir. Mi perro está detrás de él señor.
8. BESIDE- JUNTO A. My headphones are beside your book. Mis audífonos están junto a tu libro.
9. BELOW- DEBAJO DE. She has an apartment below mine. Ella tiene un departamento debajo del mío.
10. BENEATH- BAJO, DEBAJO DE. It is freezing. The temperature is below zero. Está helando. La temperatura está bajo cero.
11. BETWEEN- ENTRE. The ball is between the two walls. El balón está entre los dos muros.
12. BY- AL LADO DE, JUNTO A. He was waiting by your house for 3 hours. Estuvo esperando junto a tu casa por 3 horas.
13. CLOSE TO- CERCA DE. There is a bookstore close to the hospital. Hay una librería cerca del hospital.
14. IN- EN, DENTRO DE. The meeting is at the 2nd floor. La reunión es en el segundo piso.
15. IN FRONT OF- EN, FRENTE DE. My mother is in my room. Mi mamá está en mi cuarto.
16. INSIDE- DENTRO, EN. There is a coin inside the jar. Hay una moneda dentro del tarro
17. NEAR- CERCA DE. There were some bees near the baby. Había algunas abejas cerca del bebé.
18. ON- SOBRE, ENCIMA DE, EN. The butter is on the plate. La mantequilla está sobre el plato.
19. OPPOSITE- ENFRENTE DE, FRENTE A. My bed is placed opposite of the window. My Cama está colocada frente a la ventana
20. OUTSIDE-AFUERA, FUERA, FUERA DE. My dog´s house is outside, in the courtyard. La casa de mi perro está afuera, en el patio.
21. OVER- ECIMA DE, SOBRE. We put the new quilt over the bed. Pusimos el edredón nuevo sobre la cama.
22. UNDER, DEBAJO DE, BAJO. Everything is under control. Todo está bajo control.
23. UNDERNEATH- BAJO, DEBAJO DE. There is a big hole underneath that Paint. Hay un gran agujero debajo de esa pintura.
