Get everything you need ready (utensils, bread etc.). 2. Place water in Sauce Pan and place in on the stove to boil it. 3. Take out one frankfurt sausage (depends on how many serves). 4. Place it in boiling water. 5. Wait for the frankfurt to cook (the water would start bubbling and the sausage would be red). 6. When the frankfurt is finished, take it out of the water. 7. Place the frankfurt in the bread.

How to make a Pizza Utensils .Baking Tray .Knife .Spoon Ingredients .Lebanese Bread Base .Capsicum .Ham .Tomato Sauce Paste .Cheese Directions/Method 1. Put Lebanese Bread on a Baking tray. 2. Spread out Tomato Sauce Paste with a spoon. 3. Tear little pieces of ham and scatter them around the Pizza Base. 4. Cut small squares of capsicum and sprinkle around the base. 5. Grab handfuls of cheese and sprinkle around the pizza base. 6. Place the Baking tray with the pizza on it in the oven. 7. Once the pizza is cooked on the bottom and throughout the middle take out the baking tray and let the pizza cool down. 8. Cut the pizza into pieces of how many serves you are making.


nutrients Carbohydrate - A Carbohydrate is a nutrient used for energy and fuel for the body, predominately occurring in foods including sugars, starch, and cellulose. Carbohydrates are found in a variety of foods such as, whole grains, pasta and potatoes. Some Carbohydrates are better for you than others, the best is whole grains as it is a easy start and low in sugar.

Protein - Protein is a nutrient mainly found in meats, vegetable and whole grains. Protein helps our muscles, hair and skin grow. When eating protein other nutrients come with the food, such as fat and saturated fat.

Lipids (Fat) - Fats are a concentrated form of energy. They contain 2Âź times as much energy as either carbohydrates or proteins. Since fat is a concentrated source of energy, it is used as a convenient ingredient to increase the dietary energy.Â

Vitamin - Vitamin are vital nutrients to the body and are found in all foods, some more than others. Fruit are exceptionally high in vitamin. Vitamins help the body in all different ways, some improve your skin others improve your thinking. Vitamins are found in all foods.


Water - Water is an extremely vital nutrient which is a liquid. All living beings need a sufficient amount of water to survive. Water is also known as H2O. Water mainly hydrates the body but it also cleanses the insides of unhealthy food or drink. Water helps with every vital body function. Water is found in everything, no matter how small the amount. The recommended intake is 8 glasses of water per day, but there is no limit.

Fibre - Fibre is a natural nutrient which is the indigestible portion of plant foods which is found mostly in breakfast cereals. Fibre keeps the digestive system healthy and functioning properly. Fibre also helps with the release of waste from the body. Fibre is found in breads, rice, vegetables and more. Average 21-38g of fibre per day.

Slice chicken into thin slices against the grain. 2. Dice onions into small cubes. 3. Cut the lettuce up into pieces. 4. Slice tomato into small slices. 5. Put chicken in a bowl and marinate with sweet chili sauce. 6. Turn on stove and place chicken slice into the frying pan. 7. Put tortilla wraps into to the microwave for 20 seconds. 8. Take Chicken off the stove and put the chicken into the wrap. 9. Fill the wrap with the other ingredients and you are done!

Fry mince meat in a frying pan until brown. 2. Dice up the onions. 3. Add to the diced onions to the mince meat. 4. Turn off the stove when the meat is cooked or at a brown colour. 5. Place meat into a taco shell. 6. Stuff your taco with all other ingredients and you are ready to eat your taco!


How to make Spinach and ricotta triangles Utensils .Bowls .Wooden Spoon .Knifes .Baking Tray .Brush Ingredients .180g frozen spinach .80g ricotta cheese .Pastry sheets .3 teaspoons Olive oil Method/Directions 1. Place to sheets on top of each other, cut them in half and place them on top so there is four layers. 2. Brush a bit of oil in between each layer to help it stick. 3. Use a wooden spoon to mash up all the spinach and cheese into one bowl. 4. Take a spoon full of the mixture and place it into one end of the pastry strip. 5. Fold the corner over to the side to make a triangle and put oil to help it stick. 6. Fold them all the way to the other end and place them on a baking tray. 7. Place the baking tray into the oven and when they are cooked or turned a golden colour they are ready to be taken out and are ready to eat!

Eat well plate The eat well plate shows us what foods to eat and in what proportions in order to keep a healthy and balanced diet. This tells us to eat fruits and vegetables, plenty of potatoes, bread, rice and pasta, some milk and dairy products, some meat, fish and beans and just a small amount of foods and drink that is high in fat and/or sugar. Benefits of the eat well plate are that it helps us keep a balanced diet and keeps us healthy.

the Food pyramid The food pyramid was developed to provide a simple guide to planning the types of food we eat and what proportions different foods should be eaten in. Benefits of this are helping us being more active because we are eating a healthy diet.

Evaluation In my diet I am eating some foods from the eat well plate and the food pyramid and I have a balanced diet.

Crack the two eggs and whisk 2. Put the flour, butter and vanilla together and mix in a bowl 3. Mix the whisked eggs and the mixture together 4. Pour into bread tin 5. Add cinnamon and sugar on top 6. Put into oven 7. Once finished EAT!!!


How to make Bacon and egg sandwich

Ingredients .2 slices white bread 3 slices Crisp Bacon 1 fried egg sliced tomato Miracle Whip Directions/Method 1. Spread 1 slice of bread with Miracle Whip. 2. Add the fried egg. 3. (While the egg is cooking, I flatten it with a metal spatula to break the yolk-it fits the bread better.) Spread the egg thinly with Miracle Whip. 4. Add crisp bacon in a single layer. 5. Next, a layer of tomato slices. 6. Cover with other slice of bread spread with Miracle Whip.


How to make Banana Muffins

Ingredients .60g Butter . Cup Self-Raising flour .1/2 Cup Caster Sugar .1/2 Cup Milk .2 Eggs .Ripe Bananas, Mashed Directions/Method 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease 10 muffin cups, or line with muffin papers. 2. In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat together bananas, sugar, egg and melted butter. Stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture just until moistened. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups. 3. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and cinnamon. Cut in 1 tablespoon butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Sprinkle topping over muffins. 4. Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of a muffin comes out clean.


How to make Ham and Cheese Pie

Ingredients .1 Sheet of Pastry .80g (1/3 cup) Ricotta .1/2 cup of Chopped Ham .2 Small Shallots .4 Eggs .20g Finely Grated Parmesan Directions/Method 1. Cut the Pastry into Quarters 2. Leave the Pastry aside and place the 80g (1/1 cup) Ricotta, the 1/2 chopped ham and the 2 small shallots, trimmed finely chopped ham into a bowl. Combine 4 eggs, lightly whisked, and add the parmesan. 3. Bake for 15 minutes 4. Take out of baking tray and eat!


How to make pikelets Ingredients .1 1/4 cups self-raising flour .2 tablespoons caster sugar .185ml (3/4 cup) milk .60g butter, melted, cooled .1 egg .Extra melted butter, for greasing Directions/Method 1. Place the flour and sugar into a bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon to combine, then set aside. Whisk the milk, butter and egg together in a jug. 2. Add the milk and egg mixture to the flour mixture. Whisk until smooth. 3. Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Brush with a little melted butter. Using a tablespoon, spoon the mixture into the pan. Cook for 2 minutes or until bubbles form. Carefully turn them over and cook for a further 1-2 minutes or until cooked through. Transfer them to a plate and repeat with the remaining mixture. Ask an adult to help you lightly grease the pan in between each batch. 4. Serve the pikelets warm or at room temperature. Spread with jam and cream or your desired topping.


How to make Beef Burger Ingredients .Hamburger bun .Minced meat .Onion .Tomato .Lettuce .Tomato sauce .Salt .Cheese Direction/Method1. Put mince meat, onion and salt together and then put in a frypan with oil and cook until golden brown but dark brown. 2. Prepare tomato and lettuce 3. Cut hamburger bun in half and toast until golden. 4. Place minced meat on the bun then the lettuce, tomato, tomato sauce and cheese on top of the bun. 5. Then place the top of the bun on top.


How to make Chocolate chip cookies Ingredients .1 cup butter, softened .1 cup white sugar .1 cup packed brown sugar .2 eggs .2 teaspoons vanilla extract .3 cups all-purpose flour .1 teaspoon baking soda .2 teaspoons hot water .1/2 teaspoon salt .2 cups semisweet chocolate chips .1 cup chopped walnuts Direction/Method1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop large spoonfuls onto pans. 3. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven.


How to make Stake salad

Ingredients .6 slices Italian-style sliced bread .Olive oil cooking spray .500g beef rump steak .100g mixed salad leaves .1 small red onion, halved, thinly sliced .2 medium tomatoes, cut into thin wedges .425g can baby beetroot, drained, quartered Direction/Method1. Heat a chargrill pan over medium heat. Spray both sides of bread with oil. Cook bread slices for 1 minute each side or until golden. Tear bread into 4 to 6 pieces. 2. Spray steak with oil. Season with salt and pepper. Cook steak for 3 to 4 minutes each side for medium or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate. Cover with foil. Rest for 5 minutes. Thinly slice. 3. Combine bread, steak, salad leaves, onion, tomato and beetroot in a large bowl. Toss to combine.


How to make Lemon and pecan crumbed chicken schnitzel Ingredients .1/2 cup plain flour .1/3 cup milk .1 egg .2 cups fresh breadcrumbs .1/2 cup finely chopped pecans .1 tablespoon finely chopped lemon thyme leaves .1 teaspoon finely grated lemon rind .2 (250g each) chicken breast fillets, halved lengthways .Vegetable oil for shallow-frying .Steamed chat potatoes, green beans and lemon wedges, to serve Direction/Method1. Place flour on a plate. Whisk milk and egg together in a shallow bowl. Combine breadcrumbs, pecans, thyme and lemon. 2. Using a meat mallet, pound chicken until 1cm-thick. Coat 1 piece of chicken in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in egg mixture. Coat in breadcrumb mixture. Place on a baking tray. Repeat with remaining chicken, flour, egg and breadcrumb mixtures. 3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken, in batches, for 3 to 4 minutes each side or until cooked through. Drain on paper towel. Serve with potatoes, beans and lemon wedges.


How to make Chicken prmigiana Ingredients bake .1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil .6 (700g) chicken breast schnitzels, halved crossways .1 medium brown onion, chopped .2 garlic cloves, crushed .340g jar fire-roasted pepper strips, drained .230g tub diced antipasto chargrilled eggplant, drained (see note) .1 1/2 cups tomato pasta sauce .1/3 cup Fountain Spicy Red sauce .1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn .100g mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced .1/3 cup fresh breadcrumbs .Basil leaves, to serve Direction/Method1. Preheat oven to 220째C/200째C fan-forced. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken, in 2 batches, for 2 to 3 minutes each side or until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a plate. 2. Heat remaining oil in pan. Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes or until onion has softened. Add peppers and eggplant. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add pasta sauce and Spicy Red sauce. Bring to the boil. Stir in basil. Season with salt and pepper. 3. Place half the chicken in a 10 cup-capacity ovenproof dish. Pour over half the sauce mixture. Top with remaining chicken and sauce mixture. Top with cheese. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs. 4. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until top is golden. Serve topped with basil.


How to make lemon crisp fish Ingredients .1/3 cup flat-leaf parsley leaves .1 cup fine semolina .2 large lemons, rind finely grated .800g flathead fillets, skin removed .1 red onion, halved, sliced .olive oil cooking spray .4 tomatoes, cut into 1cm cubes .1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar .lemon wedges, to serve Direction/Method1. Preheat a barbecue plate on medium heat. Finely chop 1 tablespoon parsley leaves. Combine chopped parsley, semolina and 1 tablespoon lemon rind in a shallow dish. Coat each fish fillet in semolina mixture. 2. Place onion in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until soft. Lightly spray onions with oil. Spoon onto barbecue plate and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until light golden. Transfer to a bowl. 3. Lightly spray both sides of fish fillets with oil. Cook on barbecue plate for 3 to 5 minutes each side or until golden and cooked through. 4. Add tomatoes and remaining parsley leaves to onion. Drizzle with vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine. Place fish on plates. Serve with tomato salad and lemon.


How to make Chorizo and tomato omelette Ingredients .2 quartered vine-ripened tomatoes .1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar .1 tablespoon olive oil .salt .oil spray .1 sliced chorizo sausage .4 eggs .1/4 cup milk .Torn basil leaves, to serve Direction/Method1. Preheat oven to 180째C. Place vine-ripened tomatoes on a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and olive oil then sprinkle with salt and cracked black pepper. Bake for 15 minutes or until soft. Remove, cover and keep warm. 2. Heat a small non-stick frying pan over medium heat and spray with a little oil spray. Add chorizo sausage, and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan, place on paper towel then cover with foil and set aside. 3. Whisk together eggs and milk. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spray a large (20cm base measurement) non-stick frying pan with oil spray. Add the egg mixture. Cook over medium heat for 5-6 minutes or until surface is set. Using a spatula, turn each side in so the omelette forms a square. Remove from heat and place on a serving plate. 4. To serve, top the omelette with the chorizo and tomato and scatter with torn basil leaves. Serve immediately.


How to make Fruit salad

Ingredients .600g pineapple, peeled, chopped .800g rockmelon, chopped .800g seedless watermelon, chopped .250g strawberries, hulled, quartered .200g seedless green grapes .200g seedless red grapes .4 passionfruit, halved .1 tablespoon lime juice Direction/Method1. Place pineapple, rockmelon, watermelon, strawberries, grapes, passionfruit pulp and lime juice in a large glass or ceramic bowl. Toss to combine. Serve.


How to make Caramel Custards Ingredients .Melted butter, to grease .2 eggs, lightly whisked .125ml (1/2 cup) thickened cream .125ml (1/2 cup) no-fat milk .1/2 tsp vanilla essence .55g (3/4 cup) caster sugar Direction/Method1. Preheat oven to 220째C. Brush four round 8cm (base measurement) 150ml-capacity ovenproof ramekins with melted butter to lightly grease. Place ramekins in a roasting pan. 2. Combine the egg, cream, milk, vanilla essence and 55g (1/4 cup) of the sugar in a jug. 3. Place the remaining sugar in a medium heavy-based frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring with a metal spoon, for 3 minutes or until the sugar dissolves and starts to caramelize. Add enough boiling water to the roasting pan to reach halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Pour the hot caramel evenly among ramekins. 4. Pour the milk mixture evenly among ramekins. Cover each ramekin with foil. Cook in preheated oven for 12 minutes. Uncover ramekins and cook for a further 5 minutes or until custard sets. Remove from oven. Carefully turn the baked caramel custards into shallow bowls and serve immediately.


How to make Banana-berry splits

Ingredients .4 small bananas .Strawberry frozen yoghurt .150g fresh blueberries .2 tbs toasted slivered almonds Direction/Method1. Divide 4 small bananas, peeled, halved lengthways, among four serving dishes. 2. Top each banana with 2 small scoops strawberry frozen yoghurt. 3. Sprinkle 150g fresh blueberries and 2 tbs toasted slivered almonds among the dishes. Serve immediately.


How to make Savoury muffins Ingredients .1 1/2 cups self-raising flour .2 cups grated tasty cheese .100g mortadella, chopped .1 zucchini, grated .1/4 cup thinly sliced chives .3/4 cup milk .1 egg .1/4 cup fruit chutney Direction/Method1. Preheat oven to 200째C. Grease a 6 x 3/4-cup capacity Texas muffin pan. Line bases of holes with baking paper. 2. Sift flour into a large bowl. Add cheese, mortadella, zucchini and chives. Whisk milk, egg and chutney in a jug until well combined. Make a well in centre of dry ingredients. Pour in milk mixture. Using a large metal spoon, gently mix until just combined. Spoon into muffin holes. 3. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Stand in pan for 3 minutes. Turn onto a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.


How to make White christmas

Ingredients .500g white chocolate melts .1 1/2 cups rice bubbles .100g red glaze cherries, halved .160g almonds, roasted, halved .160g sultanas .1 cup (90g) desiccated coconut .1 teaspoon vanilla extract Direction/Method1. Line a 30cm x 20cm (base) baking pan with baking paper. Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (don’t let bowl touch water). Fold in the remaining ingredients. Pour mixture into the prepared pan, pressing down with a large metal spoon. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set. 2. Turn slice onto a chopping board. Using a knife that has been dipped in hot water, cut into squares. Serve.

lasagna recipe Ingredients .2 tsp olive oil .1 brown onion, halved, finely chopped .2 garlic cloves, crushed .750g beef mince .2 x 400g cans Italian diced tomatoes .125ml (1/2 cup) dry red wine .55g (1/4 cup) tomato paste .Salt & freshly ground black pepper .Olive oil, extra, to grease .4 fresh lasagna sheets .55g (1/2 cup) coarsely grated mozzarella .Mixed salad leaves, to serve Sauce Ingredients .1L (4 cups) milk .1 brown onion, halved, coarsely chopped .8 fresh parsley stalks .8 whole black peppercorns .4 whole cloves .2 bay leaves .60g butter .50g (1/3 cup) plain flour .70g (1 cup) finely grated parmesan .Pinch ground nutmeg .Salt & ground white pepper


lasagna recipe Directions/Method1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until onion softens. Add the mince and cook, stirring with a wooden spoon to break up any lumps, for 5 minutes or until mince changes colour. Add the tomato, wine and tomato paste, and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes or until sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat. Taste and season with salt and pepper. 2. Meanwhile, to make the cheese sauce, combine the milk, onion, parsley stalks, peppercorns, cloves and bay leaves in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Remove from heat and set aside for 15 minutes to infuse. 3. Strain the milk mixture through a fine sieve into a large jug. Discard solids. 4. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat until foaming. Add the flour and cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes or until mixture bubbles and begins to come away from the side of the pan. Remove from heat. 5. Gradually pour in half the milk, whisking constantly with a balloon whisk, until mixture is smooth. Gradually add the remaining milk, whisking until smooth and combined.


lasagna recipe 6. Place saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to the boil, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, for 5 minutes or until sauce thickens and coats the back of the spoon. Remove from heat. Add the parmesan and stir until cheese melts. Taste and season with nutmeg, salt and white pepper. 7. Preheat oven to 180째C. Brush a rectangular 3L (12 cup) capacity ovenproof dish with oil to lightly grease. Spread onequarter of the bechamel sauce over the base of the prepared dish. Arrange 1 lasagna sheet over the sauce. Top with onethird of the mince mixture and one-third of the remaining bechamel. Sprinkle with mozzarella. Place on a baking tray. Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until cheese melts, is golden brown, and the edges are bubbling. Remove from oven and set aside for 10 minutes to set. 8. Cut the lasagne into 8 portions and serve with mixed salad leaves.
