Call for participants Training course "Youth participation in different policy areas” International training course "Youth participation in different policy areas” is funded by the Erasmus + program, KA1 action. The project is implementing by Medvirkningsagentene (Norway) and Institute for Policy Research and Analysis (Lithuania). The training course will gather 33 youth workers, specialists and youth leaders in Lithuania from Feb 28th to March 6th (travel days), 2020 in Lithuania. Venue: Training centre DAUGIRDIŠKĖS www.daugirdiskes.lt The project aims: We will use our "360-degree youth participation model" and create (1) recommendations how to strengthen existing local youth councils and (2) map opportunities for new/more youth participation arenas in other policy areas, which could be used in all 10 project countries as well as all over Europe. Objectives: 1. To share good practices of youth participation at the local level in different policy areas; 2. Train municipal specialists, youth workers, and local NGOs to deal with youth issues, to analyze youth situation, develop proposals for youth policy development at the local level and provide tools how to advocate and promote youth participation innovations; 3. To develop youth participation support schemes, based on the youth situation, at specific municipalities and institutions participants will be coming from; 4. To discuss trends, strategies, needs of youth-friendly policy-making, youth participation, youth work in EU and project counties. 5. Create ideas for future international cooperation. Profile of participants – 3 participants per country: The main target group is (1) people working directly with young people or in the larger systems that affect young people: specialist working on youth issues on the local level (public health, education, culture, employment etc), youth workers, youth coordinators, and youth representatives. Another target group is (2) experienced participants from the youth field who would be able to share local realities of youth participation and policy implementation in their countries. All participants should be interested to improve current participation and engagement practices.
Financial conditions: -
Board and lodging is covered by EU programme ERASMUS+ following its regulations. There is NO participants fee. For the travel, we kindly advise you to use cheapest and most ecological means of transportation, the travel cost reimbursement will be done via bank transfers immediately after the training course (all travel documents will be collected during the training)

Training venue: You will be hosted in the famous Training centre “Daugirdiškės“ www.daugirdiskes.lt , it is situated 47 km from Vilnius (55km from Kaunas). Pick up and drop off will be organized for participants on the travel days. Practical information about accommodations: - Participants will stay in rooms of 2 - 3 people. Each room has a separate shower and toilet. Everyone will get small and big towels (and additional towels when we will go to Sauna, just bring your own slippers). - Training centre has Wi-Fi Internet connection so you can bring your computer or use the public computer that is provided in the training centre to be used by guests. - Venue has a washing machine for your use. - During the project you will be provided with 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), also 2 coffee breaks each day. What to bring with you: - personal hygienic things (shampoo, soap, tooth brush etc.); - medicine you need; - venue does not provide a hair dryer. - you might take a photo/video camera, laptop it with you. - the nearest shop is 5 km away (small one) so if you have special needs bring things with you. There will be at least 2 times in the program when you will have the opportunity to go to the shop. - we will have sauna evening, so bring your sauna equipment (swimsuit etc.). - during the training course, we will go once for a study trip and free time to Vilnius.
