A BATH HOUSE IN THE PARK
EXTENDING THE PARKSCAPE The Kelvin runs from it’s source East of Kilsyth, 22 miles, until it flows in to the Clyde. As it enters the city centre the majority of the riverside can be walked or cycled. However this pathway is interrupted less than a mile from the rivers termination by a closed fence at the bottom of the Kelvin Hall car park on Bunhouse Road. It is proposed that a new link to the Western River bank opposte Yorkhill Park is created via the disused railway line to Partick Central Station. This would allow passage through to the river Clyde and access to the cultural destinations that line its banks.
Route walked (as shown on previous pages)
Potential link route
Disused Railway Bridge that fed now redundant Partick Central Station.
