How safe is your home?

Hon Todd McClay, Member of Parliament for Rotorua.

We continue to increasingly hear more about disorder, increased crime and gang presence in our city.

I receive many complaints from local residents who are concerned about the direction our city is heading in, and the harm that has been done to us by government decisions. They don’t feel safe.

Despite this, our city is home to many wonderful caring people.

The work of Neighbourhood Support has never been more important.

It helps keep our neighbourhoods connected and provides valuable resources to help you keep your possessions and each other safe.

We are fortunate to have such a strong and dedicated Neighbourhood Support team.

I would like to thank them for their dedication and hard work, and encourage you all to get to know your local support team.

My staff and I are available to help you where we can.

We can assist with a wide range of issues and I’m always interested to hear the views of local people.

I hold regular constituent clinics in my office in Rotorua, and we make space available for community groups to meet – free of charge.
