ABOUT ME MY NAME IS MARK ANTHONY CAMERO, CURRENTLY A GRADUATE STUDENT AT FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY. IVE ALWAYS HAD DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS OF BECOMING AN ARCHITECT ONE DAY AND SEEING MY BUILDING COME TO LIFE. I AM 22 YEARS OLD AND HOPE TO GRADUATE WITH MY MASTERS AT THE AGE OF 24. M.2 SPATIAL COLOR THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS FORM THE ARTICLE : SPATIAL COLOR BY SHASHI CANN SPATIAL COLOR IS A MAJOR QUALITY WHEN THINKING OF HOW ONE FEELS IN A SPACE. WHAT DO THEY THINK? FEEL? BLUE- CALM QUITE, INDIVIDUAL ACTIVITY RELAXED ENVIORMENT, PEOPLE SPENT THE LEAST TIME IN THIS ROOM.
RED- PEOPLE SPENT A LONG TIME IN THIS ROOM. PEOPLE SAID THEY WERE HUNGRY THE MOST

M.4 COLOR + DESIGNERS GERRIT RIETVELD, BORN IN UTRECT NETHERLANDS, MOST FAMOUS FOR HIS WORK ON THE RED AND BLUE CHAIR AND THE SCHRODER HOUSE. RIETVELD LEFT SCHOOL AS A YOUNG BOY AT THE AGE OF ELEVEN TO STUDY UNDER HIS FATHERS WORK AS A JOINER. HIS FIRST MAJOR MOVE WAS OPENING A FURNITURE SHOP IN 1917 AFTER TEACHING HIMSELF HOW TO DRAW, PAINT, AND CRAFT HIS OWN IDEAS. RIETVELD PRODUCED HIS FIRST SIGNIFICANT PIECE, THE RED AND BLUE CHAIR WHICH DEMONSTRATED HIS INTERESTS OF SIMPLICITY OF CONSTRUCTION. IN 1919 HE BECAME AN ARCHITECT AND PROCUDED HIS FIRST BUILDING. THE SCHRODER HOUSEIN 1924 ONE OF RIETVELDS PASSIONS IN LIFE WAS FURNITURE DEISGN AS HE OWNED HIS OWN FURNITURE SHOP WITH HOPES OF HIS WORK BEING MASS PRODUCED. RIETVELD HIMSELF STATES THAT IN THIS CONSTRUCTION OF THE TYPICAL ARM CHAIR HE WAS CONCERNED WITH JOINING THE COMPONENTS WITHOUT CRIPPLING THEM. RIETVELD FOCUSED ON THE CONCEPT OF THE TRADITIONAL MASSIVE ARM CHAIR FOR THE FORM BUT WANTED TO CREATE FORMS WHERE ONE IS NOT DOMINATING OVER THE OTHER. HE WANTED THE FORM TO TRIUMPH OVER THE MATERIAL.
THE SCHRODER HOUSE CREATED IN 1920 THE SCHRODER HOUSE WAS DEISGNED USING THE DESTIJIL STYLE MOVEMENT, CREATING PLANAR QUALITIES WITH PURE IDEAS AND PRIMARY COLORS (RED, BLUE, YELLOW). THE SCHRODER HOUSE IS A COMPLEX DEISGN, MEANT TO LOOK SIMPLE. THE STIJIL MOVEMENT IS A NETHERLANDS BASED MOVEMENT THAT EMBRACED AN ANSTRACT SIMPLICITY ON GEOMETRIC FORMS AND PRIMARY COLORS. IT WAS CONSIDERED A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE APPROPRIATE TO THE MODERN ERA TO CREATE A SPIRITUALIZED WORLD ORDER. LED BY THE PAINTERS THEO VAN DOESBURG AND PIET MONDRIAN, THE MOVEMENT PROMOTED INNOVATIVE IDEAS FOR A FUSION OF FORM AND FUNCTION. GERRIT RIETVELD WAS A PART OF THIS MOVEMENT AND PORTRAYED THESE IDEAS IN HIS WORK
ABSTRACTION - PRECISION - GEOMETRY - ARTISTIC PURITY - AUSTERITY THE INTERIOR SPACES ARE ALL FLEXIBLE, BEING ABLE TO EXPAND AND COLLAPSE ON DEMAND ACCORDING TO NECESSITY OF PROGRAM. THIS MOVIE IS MADE IN THE FORM OF A MUSICAL BUT INSTEAD OF BREAKING OUT IN SONG, THE CHARACTERS BREAK OUT INTO FIGHT SCENES WHEN SCOTT BATTLES HIS FUTURE LOVES SEVEN EVIL EXS. ORANGE IS A REPRESENTATION OF HEAT. THE COLOR IS NOT AS AGRESSIVE AS RED BUT STIMULATES MENTAL ACTIVITY AS A SYMBOL OF STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE. IN THIS PART OF THE MOVIE, THE TWINS SHOW STRENGTH IN NUMBERS AS THEIR ARE TWO DRAGONS FACING OFF AGAINST ONE MONSTER. THE EXPOSED LOOK OF THE STRUCUTRE IN THE INTERIOR MATCHES THE COLOR SCHEME AND STYLE OF THE CLOHTING WIHTIN, EVEN THE RACKS THAT HOLD UP THE CLOTHING REPRESENTS THE SAME STYLE.
CONSTRAST OF TEXTURE MATERIALITY IS WHAT MAKES THIS STORE STAND OUT FROM THE HUGE 1111 GARAGE. THE FRAMING OF THE GARAGE IS ALL ANGLED CONCRETE PILLARS AND STRICTLY SHAGED OF GREY. THE STORE FROM AN EXTERIOR VIEW POPS WITH WHITE STEEL FRAMING AND GLASS WINDOWS, ALREADY A UNIQUE MATERIAL COMPARED TO THE REST OF THE STRUCTURE. ITALY IS ONE OF MY CULTURES THAT I AM PROUD TO BE A PART OF. WHILE GREECE IS A CULTURE THAT I ALWAYS FELT APART OF.

ITALY, COMMANDING A LONG MIDITERRANEAN COASTLINE, HAS LEFT A POWERFUL MARK ON WESTERN CULTURE AND CUISINE. ITALY IS ROUGHLY 117,000 SQ MILES AND HAS A TEMPERATE CLIMATE DUE TO ITS SHAPE. ITALY HAS OVER 6 MILLION PEOPLE LIVING THERE WHICH MAKES IT THE FOURTH MOST EUROPEAN POPULATED STATE. ITALY HAS THE THIRD LARGEST ECONOMY IN EUROPE AND THE EIGTH LARGST IN THE WORLD. HISTORY BOOKS HAVE WRITTEN ALOT ABOUT THIS PLACE AND ITS CULTURE. ITALY HAD ITS MOST HIGHTENED MOMENT WHICH MORPHED IT INTO WHAT WE SEE IT AS TODAY. THE ITALIAN RENAISSANCE WAS THE BIRTH PLACE OF MANY PEICES IF ART AND ADVANCES THAT TODAYS WORLD WOULDNT BE THE SAME WITHOUT. ITALY BEING THE BIRTH PLACE OF MICHAELANGELO, LEONARDO DEVINCI, AND GALELIO, SCIENTIST, ARCHITECTS, PAINTERS, AND MUCH MORE. THE VERY DIVERSE COUNTRY OF ITALY ENABLES THE COUNTRY FOR A VERY OUTGOING SET OF COLOR SCHEMES. AERCHITECTURE, BEING ON OF THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS OF WHAT ITALY IS TODAY FOCUS ON NEUTRAL COLORS RANGING FROM WHITE TO LIGHT PINKS, HOWEVER THERE ARE SOME OARTS OF ITALY WHERE THE ARCHITECTURE ISNT SO MUCH ABOUT THE FORM BUT ABOUT POPULATION. GREECE HOLDS ANCIENT LANDMARKS THAT ARE STILL PRESERVED TODAY WHICH BRINGS POPULARITY TO THE COUNTRY. GREECE CONSISTS OF MANYINDIVIDUAL ISLANDS WHICH MAKES WATER ( THE COLOR BLUE ) A GREAT PART OF GREECE. THE MAIN COLOR SCHEMES OF THE ENTIRE COUNTRY ARE SHADES OF WHITE AND BLUE. WHEN SPEAKING OF GREECE, THE FLAG REALLY EXPLAINS THE REASONING FOR ALL ITS COLOR SCHEMESAND ARCHITECTURE. THERE ARE NINE STRIPES TO THE FLAG, ALTERNATING WHITE AND BLUE. THIS COLOR SCHEMES IS SAID TO BE DERIVED FROM THE BLUE OCEANS AND BLUE SKIES, AND WHITE COMESFROM THE OCEAN WAVES AND CLOUDS. ON THE TOP LEFT CORNER IS A CROSS, SYMBOLIZING THEIR DEDICATION TO THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION. THE BLUE AND WHITE COLORS ON THE FLAG MIXED WITH THE FACT THAT GREECE HAS HOT CLIMATES MAKES THE NEED FOR A WHITE BASED ARCHITECTURAL PALLETTE.
CONCLUSION
IN THE BEGINING I WANTED TO TAKE THIS CLASS BECAUSE IVE ALWAYS HAD TROUBLE PICKING THE CORRECT COLOR SHADE OR SELECTIONS OF COLOR PATTERNS TO REPRESENT MY PROJECTS DURING FINAL CRITS. WHETHER IT BE SECTIONS, ELEVATIONS, OR EVEN DIAGRAMS I FELT AS IF MY WOKR WAS HELD BACK DUE TO COLOR CHOICE. I WENT INTO THIS CLASSM EXCITED TO LEARN NEW THINGS BUT HAD NO IDEA THE AMOUNT OF INFORMATION I COULD LEARN IN AN ONLINE CLASS. I LOOK AT NORMAL THINGS IN SUCH A NEW CREATIVE WAY, THINKING WHY DID THEY CHOOSE THOSE COLORS? OR STATING “NO THOSE COLORS DONT REALLY WORK WELL” AND I WAS NEVER ABLE TO DO THAT BEFORE... WELL ACCURATLEY ATLEAST. IN THE END THIS CLASS WAS A GOOD LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND IM GLAD I CHOSE THIS COURSE. THE ASSIGNMENTS WERE FUN AND ENTERTAINING, AND IVE ALREADY RECOMENDED THIS CHOICE TO ALL OF MY ARCHITECTURE FRIENDS.
