1. Best Swing Trading Methods (title slide) 2. Good day traders, this is Roger Scott and I want to welcome you to another trading video from Market Geeks. I have been getting a lot of emails last few weeks asking a variety of questions.

3. One important question that I got asked at least 3 times as much as all the other questions was W hat is the best swing trading method out there?

4. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to answer this question, because each method has an upside and a downside. But I will do my best to answer this question for all the new traders who are just getting into swing traders.

5. There are three primary trading methods that trading most strategies are based on: 1. Breakout Method 2. Retracement Trading Method 3. Reversal trading method 6. The first method the breakout method works well with markets that are trending or moving in one particular direction. Under those conditions, breakouts work very well.

Unfortunately, markets only trend about 20 percent of the time. During periods when markets are choppy and trendless, this strategy is about as worthless as yesterday’s newspaper.

7. The next method is the Retracement method and this method also works well with markets that are trending in one particular direction. When markets are choppy the retracement strategy is prone to many false signals.

8. Lastly, the reversal trading method works well with markets that are choppy and going back and forth.

Many traders call these market conditions range bound.

9. So as you can see, there are no such thing as best swing trading methods, but there are three primary methods that all work if the market conditions match the particular method.
