Complex Or Easy Swing Trading Strategies? 1. Good day traders, this is Roger Scott and I hope you are having a great day today. Today we are going to discuss keeping things simple. 2. Many who are starting out think that complex methods are more profitable or will have better winning ratio.

3. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no correlation between the difficulty of a trading method and the profit potential of such method. There have been countless studies and there is still to date no data that says that complex trading strategies make more money. 4. Let me share a personal story with you, several years ago, it was in the mid nineties, I picked up this publication. I noticed a trading competition, I saw one trader that was doing exceptionally well in the competition. I did some limited research and found that he took taught people his unique trading style.

5. I proceeded to work with the trader for a few sessions and learn his approach. He used a modified Elliot Wave theory that was so complicated, that I doubt that he even understood what he was talking about. 6. He did not have it programmed into computers, back then Trade Station was very advanced and I had to do everything by hand. It would take me hours to do calculations to figure out what the next set up would be.

7. I quickly dropped this strategy, before it bankrupted me and went back to trading my simple patterns that I was able to calculate in seconds. My trading performance improved and my confidence got better as well. 8. The point of this story is complicated strategies do not equal more profitability. The more complex something is too learn the greater the

odds that something will be confused or misinterpreted. This is the last thing you want when your emotions are in the middle of a trade

9. My advice is to stick to simple strategies that you can easily figure out and understand. There has never been a study that says simple methods are less profitable then complex computer algorithms. 10. As a matter a fact one of the best known traders in the world trades simple 50 day breakouts and he’s been doing so for 40 years.

11. My recommendation is to stick to basic swing trading strategies. Such as Simple Breakouts and Reversals. 12. Check out our blog for several swing trading strategies that we post regularly and additional videos right on this channel for you to watch.
