Ronald McDonald House reports that Brookberry Farm Residents sold an amazing 1,320 luminary kits which, with donations, raised over $14,500 during the holiday season. Funds raised go directly to the general operation of Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem.
Ronald McDonald House provides a "home away from home" for families of children who are receiving medical treatment in the community. RMHC provides more than 1.5 million overnight stays each year, helping families save nearly over $504 million in lodging and meal expenses. Want

Homemade Mac and Cheese
Ingredients
• 16 oz elbow macaroni, cooked
• 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
• 6 tbsp unsalted butter
• 1/3 cup all purpose flour
• 3 cups whole milk
• 1 cup heavy whipping cream
• 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 2 cups shredded gruyere cheese
• 1 1/2 cups panko crumbs
• 4 tbsp melted butter
• 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
• 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a baking dish and set aside. Combine shredded cheeses and set aside. Drizzle cooked pasta with olive oil in a large bowl.
Melt butter in a deep saucepan, whisk in flour until bubbly and golden, gradually whisk in milk and heavy cream until smooth, and add salt and pepper to taste. Add shredded cheese a bit at a time and mix until smooth. Add pasta to cheese mixture and fully coat. Add pasta and cheese mixture to the prepared dish and top with any remaining shredded cheese, paprika, and breadcrumbs mixed with butter.
Bake for about 30 minutes, until golden brown. Serve immediately.
