Detox, Relax & Anti-Aging The Ayurveda way In Europe the Sonnhof resort offers a unique range of authentic Ayurveda cures & treatments – from AyurDetox – Short purification to Ayurveda Relax & Wellness and from Ayurveda taster to Rasayana – Anti-Aging Cure and Fountain of Youth regeneration week.
All treatments and massages can, of course, be booked individually or as part of the combined programmes available. They include silk glove or Indian herb pouch and oil massage, the much celebrated Shirodara application of oil to the forehead, or the Abhyanga whole body oil massage. At Sonnhof this well-known treatment is administered as a four-handed synchronised massage by two therapists.

Cleanse & Purify, Harmonise & Heal: The Pancha Karma cure Pancha Karma, ‘the five treatments’, embraces all five pillars of Ayurvedic cleansing and is the most effective method for profound physical and spiritual detoxification. Through internal and external oil treatments, heat treatments, individual detoxification applications, healing herbs, a healing diet and a tailor- made daily routine, excess Doshas are eliminated from the body. This cure is offered on a 7, 10, 14 or 21 day basis. Diagnosis and therapy are supervised by
our Ayurveda specialist Dr Gaurav Sharma. All Pancha Karma cures begin with an examination including pulse diagnosis. This consultation is part of the therapy and is important to ascertain details of the overall health picture. Pancha Karma aims to rid the body of toxins and to re-establish metabolic balance, resulting in de-stressing, regeneration and a fresh sense of harmony for body and soul.

Yoga – the path to self-discovery The all important equilibrium between activity and relaxation can be experienced in our own OM Meditation centre here at the Sonnhof. The focus is on yoga, closely connected with the Ayurveda concept and known for its holistic results for body and soul. Yoga exercises feature alongside Qi Gong and the active outdoor programme as a daily aspect of all Sonnhof cures. In addition
we offer Yoga Specials, such as individual yoga weeks tailored according to the three Ayurveda types Vata, Pitta & Kapha at specific times during the year. Our resort operates exclusive partnerships with renowned yoga instructors such as Marion GrimmRautenberg, who has developed MediYoga©, her own brand of western yoga.

Pulse diagnosis – ancient tradition conveys deep insights for today’s lifestyle At the Ayurveda Resort Sonnhof, pulse diagnosis is carried out exclusively by Dr Sharma. He explains that pulse diagnosis provides information on definitive condition of body, mind & emotions, as well as their interaction. Disharmonies such as digestive disorders, inflammation or hormonal im- balances, can be identified and an appropriate treatment discussed and administered. A personalised
diet and treatment sequence is drawn up based on body type and the pulse diagnosis. OUR TIP Whether Pancha Karma cure, Ayurveda Detox & Purification or the Anti-Aging programme, our pulse diagnosis is available with all cures of three nights or more, it can also be booked as an extra at any time.
