Cuisine & cellar The 5-star Jagdhof first established a reputation as a major player in the world of hospitality back in 1978. We are proud of our Tyrolean heritage and enjoy celebrating the culinary jewels of our beloved Stubai valley. Much of the produce we use in the kitchen is organic and sourced directly from local farms, while carefully selected suppliers provide us with the best from around the world. Thanks to our farm and game preserve, we are able to provide the kitchen with lamb that we have reared and our own game and venison. Even if we say so ourselves, our wine cellar is simply spectacular: from the deep red brickwork and innovative stuccowork to the hand-painted MoutonRothschild floor tiles. A sophisticated lighting concept, heavenly acoustics and gleaming bottles and glasses complete the refined ambience. Most importantly, this is where we store more than 20,000 bottles of over 1,100 different wines that include gems from Bordeaux and Burgundy – a wine lover’s treasure trove of the finest.

Culinary freedom The morning begins with a lavish buffet: seasonal fruit, freshly pressed juices, homemade yoghurts, jams and local honey, a wide variety of cheeses, delicious bread made with locally milled flour, pastries and cakes, freshly prepared egg dishes, and the finest cold cuts to help guests jump-start their day.

At lunchtime there is a choice between a sumptuous meal and a light à la carte snack, while in the afternoon the sweet seduction of strudel and cakes is included in the half board. Enjoy all of this wherever the fancy takes you: on one of the terraces where you can enjoy magnificent views, in the peaceful wildlife garden, or on one of the spacious sun decks by the pool... The new SPA CHALET Privacy is a luxury, which is why we built even more private space: a 700sqm haven of relaxation and tranquillity dedicated exclusively to our guestsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; wellbeing and intense regeneration. Only the finest materials including sunbleached timber recycled from old Tyrolean barns and farmhouses, ancient Alpine quartzite and hand modelled plaster were used to create a high-end, chalet style, urbane and yet utterly Tyrolean ambience.

The SPA CHALET encompasses three spacious relaxation rooms: ruetz one beckons with a selection of loungers and hammocks as well as a family-size daybed and hay racks brimming with fragrant mountain herbs. Bibliothek features a fireplace, single and double loungers, and two balconies for sunbathers. Panorama Relax is equipped with beanbag beds and huge loungers that will accommodate up to eight relaxation junkies. Fragrant timbers and the stunning glacier visible through the room’s generous picture windows make this a perfect place for our morning Yoga class. The ground floor’s centrepiece is the spacious Tea Bar and Lounge where guests can admire the view from the comfortable seating area, or lay back in generously proportioned relaxation loungers to the soothing sounds of soft music. The tea & water bar offers a smorgasbord of wellness beverages. Outside, the freshwater plunge pool, which is fed from our own source, and a sauna garden with loungers and benches invites guests to linger. The covered lounge with heated quartzite floor by the sunbathing lawn completes the open-air relaxation area.

Stubai active In summer and autumn, the mountains are a haven for walkers, mountain bikers and nature lovers. More than 850km of trails wind their way through the fascinating mountain scenery of the Stubai Alps. Stunning glacier landscapes and some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Austria are not far from the hotel. Mountain bikers can explore the lay of the land on the 720km of marked trails that meander through the Stubai valley. The Jagdhof also offers e-bikes for hire and organises an awesome Monday to Friday leisure programme that includes family walks, sunrise mountain hikes, leisurely walks, adventure tours and much more. Not far from the hotel, the largest treetop ropes course in Tyrol is integrated into the natural environment for that extra special experience to suit all abilities. Enjoy the most breathtaking view of 109 3,000m-high mountains from the TOP OF TYROL viewing platform at 3,210m on the Stubai glacier. We can arrange tennis lessons at the hotel’s three tennis courts. Use of the courts and tennis racket hire is free.

Other popular activities around the Jagdhof include hunting, fishing, bungee jumping and paragliding. Many attractions are easy to access between May and October thanks to the free Stubai Super Card. hunting & shooting experience Hunting and shooting have a long tradition in Tyrol. Our family, which has deep roots in the Stubai valley, boasts a long line of hunters going back many generations. Armin and Christina have followed in their ancestors’ footsteps and are just as passionate about hunting and shooting: they even lease a 9,000-acre game preserve in the Stubai and Gschnitztal valleys. Guests of the Jagdhof are welcome to join in – book a hunting trip with our experienced professional hunter and you’ll be sure to take a shot. Most of the game preserve is easily accessible by motorised vehicle, and perfect for older hunters. Treat yourself to the experience of a high mountain hunt in a pristine natural landscape. Fishing in the Ruetzbach

and its tributaries

The Ruetzbach is an Alpine stream that flows past the SPA-HOTEL Jagdhof. The Ruetzbach and its tributary waters extend upstream from the old Zeggerbrücke bridge in Neustift-Neder to the source. The waters predominantly contain brown trout and grayling, and can be fished with spinning or fly rods (every day from 6am-8pm). Guest fishing permits can be purchased from the hotel.
