Food with Heart In the Zillertal, our love for nature and tradition extends to all things food, and nowhere is this more evident than here at the WĂśscherhof. Our kitchen team under Chef Andreas delivers sheer indulgence with regional delicacies, firstclass international culinary delights, and sweet temptations made by our own patisserie. We set great store by the quality and provenance of our ingredients, most of which come from our own farm, or are sourced from local producers and suppliers. We even grow and pick our own aromatic herbs to flavour our dishes.

Our gourmet buffets for lunch and afternoon tea beckon with fragrant soup, market-fresh salads, and scrumptious, homemade cakes. The evening’s 5-course dinner with menu choices showcases the Zillertal’s culinary excellence and beguiles you with regional and seasonal delights accompanied by fresh salads and topped by a tempting cheese buffet.

A good drop for infinite enjoyment Our sommelier Sabine Daigl will be delighted to recommend a fine tipple from our wine cellar to accompany your meal, but if your preference is for hops and malt, you’ll find the region to your liking too. The Zillertal’s brewery is bound to have made a beer that pairs perfectly with your choice of dish, and barman and beer connoisseur Istvan helps you choose.

A shot of schnapps provides the perfect conclusion to your culinary delights: our worldclass schnapps and brandies are supplied by local distilleries. At the end of the evening, the warm, country ambience of Wöscher’s Bar bids you welcome with sophisticated cocktails, long drinks or fine whiskies.

Skiing Fun & Powder Snow 506 brilliant pistes, perfectly groomed crosscountry ski runs, glistening powder snow, jumps, turns and magic carpets await skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers and ski tourers here in the Zillertal. Access to the Zillertal’s top ski areas, Hochzillertal-Hochfügen and Spieljoch, is just minutes from the Wöscherhof, and the free ski bus stops only 50m from the hotel. Our hotel’s free shuttle bus can also take you to the valley stations at the Spieljoch in Fügen and Hochzillertal ski resorts. Spieljoch is a family-friendly ski area and ideal for beginners and returners. 21km of pistes, eight lifts, two magic carpets and the new Panoramabahn Geols are accessible to winter sports fans. Around 25 ski schools and 500 ski instructors in the Zillertal are available to complete beginners as well as improvers. Small snow fleas grow into piste professionals with the help of heaps of fun and play, while experienced

rippers are shown how to hone their carving style. Accomplished skiers swing their turns on the deep snow slopes of the Geolsalm and carve down the seven kilometres of the longest snowcovered valley descent into Fügen. Also within a ski’s length of the Wöscherhof are the Hochzillertal & Hochfügen ski areas, which were linked in 2004 to make the Ski-Optimal Hochfügen-Hochzillertal interconnected snow sports paradise. At 1,500m to 2,500m above sea level, 76.8km of perfectly groomed slopes for all levels of ability as well as 9.9km of deep snow runs await young and old. Bretterpark

FO R S U N & M O O N WO RS H I P P E RS Every Friday from late December to mid-March, the Hochzillertal valley run is resplendent in the light of neon and the moon, and allows you to carve and wedel until 10pm. From January, at weekends in Hochfügen and throughout the week in Hochzillertal, plankers can make their way down the untouched slopes at first light. The lifts leave for the mountains at dawn – an unforgettable experience!

Hochzillertal is a terrain park paradise for boarders and fun carvers with XL kickers, as well as jump, flat, up and down boxes, a slide tank, donkeys and rails. Take a breather in the chillout area with neat sounds and comfy loungers. The slope adventure continues in the Zillertal Arena, the valley’s largest ski area, which offers the ultimate piste experience for all tastes in a breathtaking landscape of 143 runs and the 30,000sqm Snowpark Gerlos. As if that wasn’t enough, the Zillertal also boasts the Hintertux glacier: Austria’s only year-round ski resort! Enjoy skiing on a range of slopes all the

way up to 3,250m in altitude. Deep snow runs, moguls and that wonderful feeling you get on the glacier make this kind of skiing an amazing adventure with a huge factor of fun. The Zillertal also boasts wonderful lifts and gondolas. BMW Individual and LEITNER’s ‚first floating limousine’, the original 10-seat gondola, and Austria’s largest aerial tramway on the Ahorn make getting up to the peaks a real pleasure. For even more adventure and adrenaline, give the Harakiri run on Action Mountain Penken in Mayrhofen a try: with a gradient of 78%, it’s Austria’s steepest slope!
