An Olympian visit to Hymers

We had the honour of welcoming Olympic decathlete, Dean Macey to Hymers College in April.

He spent the day with pupils from our Junior and Senior schools, out on the fields, offering coaching tips and advice. A huge thank you to Dean for his time and what an amazing experience for our pupils!

Junior School Sports Day

Another incredible Junior School Sports Day took place at the end of the summer term.

Well done to all the children and thank you to all the family and friends who came to support. It was a fantastic day culminating in the ever popular tug-o-war!

Senior School Sports Day

The Senior School Sports Day once again offered an incredible range of activities for all students.

It was neck-and-neck until the end with Holderness nudging a victory.

fourth year of playing for Yorkshire whilst Henry is playing for East & Central Yorkshire for the first time.

Dashenka and Robert are now in their third year of playing for Yorkshire.

Chiara has been playing cricket since Year 4 and started hardball in Year 5 and has played for Yorkshire for 3 years.

As ever, a fast-paced, high-energy match between staff and our Year 13 netballers. Victory was secured by... the Leavers! Well done to everyone who took part and a huge thank you to all our pupils for their years of dedication to school sport. We hope you keep playing long after you have left Hymers!

Hymers College @HymersSwim: Our @HymersJunior School teams were in action at the ESSA Primary Swimming Championships today. They won all their events Absolutely tremendous performance from all taking part

Exceptional performances from both the girls and boys @HymersJunior swimming teams at the ESSA National Primary School Finals. The boys finished 8th in their Freestyle A final. That is 8th in the country - well done to all the competitors who took part!

@HymersSport: Huge well done to Henry C in Y4 who has done incredibly with his swimming. He is now ranked British #1 in 200m individual medley, #2 for 200m breaststroke & 100m Individual medley, & #3 into 50m & 100m freestyle. Quite an achievement!
