In addition to holding a prestigious Queen’s Anniversary Prize in the category of Optical Engineering and High Value Manufacturing : applications and knowledge transfer, we are home to two EPSRC Doctoral Training Centres, for Innovative Manufacturing in Regenerative Medicine and for Embedded Intelligence. Our industrially focused research enables us to work with some of the world’s most renowned engineering companies and helps us to generate around £12million in external research contracts each year.
