You will explore the key religious, political and social changes that occurred between 1509 -1750. You will learn about the Tudor dynasty, the Dutch revolt and then, in your second year, specialise in the Witch hunts across Europe and America.

In higher education you will have a head start, having already practised referencing, writing long essays and developing many of the thinking and presentation skills required at degree level.

Give GCSEs at grade 9-4, with a minimum grade 5 in English Language.

You will explore the major political and cultural changes in 20th century America through consideration of the changing political landscape, the development of the civil rights movement and important changes to society. You will also develop your understanding of the formation of modern South Africa. In the second year, you will specialise in British Warfare, 1790-1918.
