Missed out on taking your education to degree level? These one year courses prepare you to study at degree level if you do not currently have the qualifications to apply. They are specifically designed to give you the foundation skills and knowledge to go on and study a university degree. • All of our tutors are highly skilled, qualified and knowledgeable • We have excellent pastoral support to help you during your time at college • We provide tailored support for progression to university courses • Our outstanding teaching will help you make exceptional progress You will need to have either English or maths at GCSE (or Level 2 equivalent) and will be offered the opportunity to study the other if required.

The diploma provides an intensive programme covering study skills and knowledge required for chosen career paths, and delivers a qualification recognised by universities. Successful students have gone on to study social work, dental hygiene, primary school teaching, paramedical science, midwifery and mental health nursing. The course can also open doors to areas of study such as veterinary medicine, history, criminology and law. We provide a supportive ‘family friendly’ environment with great ICT facilities. Lectures are delivered in small groups and you will have a personal tutor.

SPARSHOLT

• Land-based studies

This course is specifically designed to give you the foundation skills and knowledge for studying a land-based degree, with 95% of students progressing to degree studies (2020). It includes elements of chemistry, plant and animal biology and ecology, together with providing the knowledge and support needed to be able to carry out and present a small-scale research project. You will study a range of core subjects and follow some specialist units in either animal studies, equine studies, ecology and conservation or fishery studies. This course gives you UCAS tariff points for entry to University. Most students will progress to a relevant degree at Sparsholt and you will be supported by your tutors.
