Higher Education Study Centre And Lounge

Exclusively for HE students, the Higher Education Study Centre and newly refurbished Lounge offers a dedicated space for our UCS students to study independently, in addition to the Higher Education seminar rooms also on site.

WELLBEING TEAM & STUDENT SERVICES

The Wellbeing team based in our support hub provide a range of carefully selected and up to date resources that are accessible online 24/7, through our virtual learning platform Ledge.

If you are having any personal difficulties that are affecting your time at University Centre Sparsholt, we can provide virtual and face to face 1:1 confidential support. Our aim is to help you keep on track with your studies and signpost you on to more relevant services as needed. Sparsholt also has a professional counselling team that learners can self-refer to through Ledge.

DSA students (who qualify for ASD mentoring) can be supported by our trained HE Champion. For our neurodiverse students and allies, we offer a regular club called Spectrum with activities planned to suit the group. We also provide Student Services for all enquires such as travel, funding, lost property and general questions and queries.

He Study Support

Sometimes, students need a bit more support than the formal and informal academic support readily offered by our lecturers and tutors. Confidential, regular 1:1 support sessions are accessed through the Disabled Students’ Allowance. Our experienced team offer 1:1 support sessions for students with officially diagnosed Specific Learning Differences such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Autistic Spectrum conditions. We can also provide one off 1:1 meetings with students, exam access arrangements, initial screening for possible specific learning differences, and if necessary, refer for further assessment.
