Dr Claire Cresswell PhD, MSc, BSc

• Specialist research interests include agricultural ecology, plant-invertebrate interactions, water quality protection, avian behavioural ecology and monitoring

• Holds a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science and an MSc in Wildlife Management and Conservation from University of Reading

• PhD from Harper Adams University investigated the role of multifunctional field margin vegetative strips for the support of ecosystem services

Dr Matthew Tallis PhD, MSc, BSc (Dual Hons)

• Passionate about education and the natural world, the influence of human societies on the natural world and especially all things related to trees

• Holds a BSc (Dual Hons) in Biochemistry and Physiology (University of Sheffield) an MSc in Environmental Science (University of Aberdeen) and a PhD investigating the effects of climate change on tree growth and function (University of Southampton)

• Holds a BSc (Hons) in Wildlife Conservation and an MSc in Environmental Management for Agriculture as well as qualifications in teaching, applied biology and veterinary nursing. Varied experience including work on conservation management and wildlife rescue projects

• Teaches academic skills and science as well as a range of ecological topics

• External Examiner working with several universities to verify assessment on animal science and conservation degrees

• A passionate conservation ecologist with experience in a variety of different wildlife roles.

• Holds a BSc (Hons) and MSc in Zoology with Herpetology from Bangor University where his studies have focused on spatial and population ecology.

• Has worked on a variety of projects concerning anthropgenic impacts and land use change on herpetofaunal populations, climate change and ectotherms, spatial ecology, and non-native species.

• While having a focused interest on herpetofauna, he also has a deep-set interest in all wildlife, which has grown within his roles working in commercial ecology in the UK and research assistantships abroad.
