Why were you attracted to the area?

I arrived at the University of Hull and immediately fell in love, the vibrancy, friendliness and uniqueness were like no other I had seen. I have never been anywhere that feels like home as much as Hull.

How have you found relocating here? I have always been met with kindness and friendly faces. It is the people that make Hull so special, and they have made it more welcoming than I ever could have imagined.

Why do you think this is a great place to study or launch your career?

Hull made everything feel possible while also having the comfort of home. It isn’t an overly large university; my lecturers knew my name and they frequently checked in on me. I’m now in a job that I love waking up to every morning and I work with some amazing people.

What would you say to other people considering relocating to the region? DO IT! Hull has a magnetic pull that makes you want to stay and it’s not something I ever regret. The best recommendation would be to take the leap. Hull is all about what you make of it.

Condé Nast Traveller named Humber Street and The Deep in the list of The 10 Most Beautiful Places in Yorkshire. The Humber Street, Fruit Market and Marina area in Hull have been dubbed the ‘Marbella of the North’.
