Proud to play our part in supporting The Connaught Studio
worthingtheatres.co.uk/whats-on/film
HI FILM LOVERS, I am writing this intro the week before the Oscars and just before our new Studio opens. The Studio space is looking great and will be a fantastic space to watch movies in. Bowers & Wilkins have provided us with an all-new sound-system which sounds absolutely amazing. The Oscars seems a bit of a two horse race between MANCHESTER BY THE SEA and LA LA LAND, but I am hoping there will be wins for other films as well. We are playing some of the best nominated films in March including JACKIE, TONI ERDMANN, LOVING and the absolutely jaw dropping MOONLIGHT. There’s also still time to catch HIDDEN FIGURES and FENCES. Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is the big release for families but we also have SMURFS, BOSS BABY and PEPPA PIG for the Easter Holidays. The Saturday Morning Pictures season is a cracker so please book ahead to avoid disappointment.
My name is James Tully and I’m the Film Officer for the Connaught Cinema. I’ve worked in cinemas for 16 years and bring my knowledge Amongst the many great films we have coming up is THEIR FINEST, a war-time comedy drama with Gemma of the UK film business to the Arterton and Bill Nighy trying to boost the troops morale Connaught. We are partnered with a propaganda film. Joan Collins and Pauline Collins with Picturehouse so offer star in THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES, a low key British film the best in alternative & world cinema alongside the about two women on an adventure in the South of France. For more adventure we have THE LOST CITY blockbusters we all love!
OF Z starring Charlie Hunnan and Robert Pattinson. Jim Broadbent stars in the drama THE SENSE OF AN ENDING with Charlotte Rampling. MY PICK
MOONLIGHT is a stunning film, which I do not hesitate to recommend, and I’m really intrigued to see THE LOST CITY OF Z.
