worthingtheatres.co.uk/whats-on/film HI film lovers, There’s lots to look forward to during Sept & Oct with huge literary adaptations of BRIDGET JONES’S BABY starring Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth, and THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN with Emily Blunt. Word of mouth bestseller THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS also makes its way to the big screen. We are super excited for our 1986 SEASON! We are playing some great classic films. From children’s favourite AN AMERICAN TAIL to Cronenbergs horror masterclass THE FLY. We’ll be having 80s aftershow parties at our screenings of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA and serving Afternoon Tea for the performance of A ROOM WITH A VIEW. Acclaimed thriller ANTHROPOID tells the tense true story of the mission to assassinate the Nazi armys’ third in command during WWII. There’s also the new film from Woody Allen, CAFÉ SOCIETY. For families we have KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS and TROLLS. There’s so much to offer in our Screen Arts program that I don’t know where to start! The Royal Opera House season gets underway. Fantastic music from artists such as The Beatles, Nick Cave, Oasis and Michael Buble. The Australian Ballet series starts with THE SLEEPING BEAUTY and we have Sydney Opera House TURANDOT. The National Theatre also bring us two productions THE DEEP BLUE SEA and THE THREEPENNY OPERA. To top things off, there’s the last in the current season from the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company – THE ENTERTAINER. Wow! That’s a lot of stuff! Thanks for all your support, we hope to see you at the cinema soon. My Pick
I want to see EVERYTHING in the 1986 season, but of the main release films I am going to pick THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN. I’m a big fan of Chris Pratt and Denzel Washington and think that this looks like a lot of fun. James Tully Film Officer
