8/8/2020 Principals of GH2 GH2 Phoenix 1201 S Alma School Road Suite 16100 Mesa, AZ 85210 MAP 480.699.1945 contact@gh2.com Dear, GH2 Principals, My name is Mark hernandez-Schilling and I am writing to apply for an Summer Internship at Firms located in Arizona or out of state. I am Currenly a 6th Year Master of Architecture Student at Arizona State University. Having an approach that is Flexible. Engaging. Fun. Is a way to design and get to know the client what there needs are. As well as being able to gather all the information needed to develope and design the project. Having a positive impact on the community through sustainable design. As well as affordable housing, mixed use housing, and envirnomental landscape designs. All my experience comes from projects that I have done that are done in an educational setting. While being in the Master of Architecture Program at Arizona State University. I am most proud of my Timber In The City Project (portfolio pg, 21). This project Urban Forest in New York focuses on integrating the existing community into the site. This is evidence by community center, the urban green spaces for the public, early childhood education center. The private residential towers will allow people from there to integrate into the community spaces. Historic house becomes library. The community center offers a place for people to live a healthier life. My experience with architectural software is mainly educational using Revit, Lumion, Sketchup, AutoCad, Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I am working on how to furthure develop my skills in Rhino, Grasshopper, and possibly ArchiCad. What I am looking to get out of this Internship is by gaining hands on experience being in a firm. What it takes to get a project started and finished. I also hope to earn hours towards my AXP, for getting my Architectural License. I look forward to discuss how much of an assest I could become to the GH2 family. For any further questions about me and my portfolio in an in-person-interview. Please Calll me at 602-4769646 and email me at mahern36@asu.edu. Sincerely, Mark Hernandez-Schilling
