PATENT CO. EDUCATION CENTER BIJELJINA CENTER NOVI SAD LIBRARY EXTENSION EGO COFFEE TABLE AMORFURNITURE URBAN UTOPIA NS2051 MPE BALKAN FACTORY KNOT!

PATENT CO. EDUCATION CENTER caled project // teamwork

Client`s task for Project “EDU Center” is to create new company`s headquarters with education and administration as dominant functions. Beside these two there are lobby for visitors, accommodation for company`s students and restaurant. These five separate functions led to creation of five segments in a row where every typology has its own section. Every part of the complex is designed to meet students’ needs. Shape is derived from local traditional architecture of Vojvodina. Archetype shapes in a row creates one small village where people can meet and socialize. Dominant material is brick (white and black), also local and taken from brick factory only 3km away. The idea is to show local traditions and architecture to students coming from different parts of Europe.

PATENT CO. EDUCATION CENTER caled project // teamwork

BIJELJINA CENTER

competition // 3rd place award // teamwork

Lack of regulated squares and other public areas in central parts of the city led to the creation of new atrium-square within new mixed-use object. By creating this object typology, quality of public city spaces will be increased. Project goal - to create mixed-use complex in high density city centre that will represent key focal point of Bijeljina city. With architecture and content, this object will be bearer of the image and innovation of Bijeljina in region.

BIJELJINA CENTER

competition // 3rd place award // teamwork

NOVI SAD LIBRARY EXTENSION competition // honourable mention // teamwork

Open creative space is basic point for the design of new city library extension in Novi Sad, Serbia. It studies and processes nothingness, the empty space as platform that is set to upgrade all necessary functions and facilities of this institution. Inside, there are no rooms, functions are divided only by colours that suggest different functions. New building with its original facade tends to fit into context of the environment. Colour of the factory rusted steel is modern interpretation of the facade on old part of the library and nearby Bishop`s Palace. Rust presents passage of the time related to the history of library and the city itself. Depending on the content, facade can move and create different ambiance. Library becomes a dynamic house!

EGO COFFEE TABLE called project

Table defines space, makes focal point of your room. It gathers people around to socialize, talk and think, therefore main goal of every table is to represent its owner. Following this philosophy we decided to reinvent table and make it with premium quality no matter what! Every detail is meticulously analysed and processed so the whole piece is in perfect harmony. We chose timeless design, an archetype shape of the table, and transformed it into something beautiful. It is very important that every piece captures owner’s emotion and translates it to other people. The key feature of table is top panel with printed motifs and textures. This unique feature allows customers to pick or design their own texture so they can have one of a kind table in their home. We present ego coffee table series.

EGO COFFEE TABLE called project

AMORFURNITURE

concept // 3rd place award // teamwork

Project presents both space installation and utilitarian object (part of furniture), designed and carried out with anthropological measures with 5 seating places. Cardboard plates are used, with thickness of 0.5cm, handmade and assembled in layers. These layers form structure which is geometrical shaped looked from outside (part of cube), and amorf inside. Cardboard as material is suitable for processing, friendly for touch and renewable (recycling process can be repeated many times). This pavilion represents experiment, as space installation and as an example of new ways of using materials and modelling. Cardboard - material of the future!!!

AMORFURNITURE

concept // 3rd place award // teamwork

URBAN UTOPIA NS2051 called project // teamwork

Novi Sad 2051 presents socio-architectural utopia partially based on principles of “garden city that aims towards bringing out human values and introduces individual firstly with himself than with people in his surroundings. With architectural interventions a society which is in constant mutual interaction is created which results in decreasing alienation - modern city illness! Utopia is based on creating new city centres from the suburban cities of Novi Sad, so every centre - grain - have own dominant function. With this conception every grain is autonomous, but also depends on other grains - cities. Using these connections between cities, constant exchange of people and goods is ensured.

MPE BALKAN FACTORY reconstruction // in progress

Complete reconstruction of the old factory for major plastic producing company MPE Group. Main goal of intervention was creating bright and open space that will meet all workers needs. Every element except columns and beams was stripped down and refurbished with modern materials. The result is all new facilities for modern company.

KNOT!

competition // honourable mention // teamwork

Knot pavilion represent intertwining of different people, their fates, thoughts, wishes, hopes. Place where people meets, a social playground, square without square. Multifunctional pavilion designed for various events and games. Style is sharp, energetic, chaotic, yet in perfect balance, a combination of lights and shadows, white and black. The simple forms produce an unequalled effect. Knot represents pure philosophy of simplicity and essentialism. Depending of people’s creativity, pavilion develops and melts with society and surroundings. Knot allows people to pick its typology and function and use it on their own manner. In central axis of the pavilion passer-by have a choice! Leave and go back in the safety of his shell or just cross the bridge as silent walker with no connection with other people. Or he will stay, turn around himself and explore? Walk down to the water; touch the nature in the heart of the city or go to the higher level towards light and spirituality? Maybe he will just stay, enjoy the object and replenish his batteries. Pavilion represents knot, inner battle of the individual with himself, other people, and nature.

ACADEMIC WORK - WINE BAR - OPERA HOUSE

WINE BAR concept

Wine cellar analysis lead to conclusion that these storage are very rudimentary in design. There are no details, only walls, beams, floors and ceilings. Cellars serve only the function, not design. This idea is applied on new wine bar by extensive use of minimalist design. Every unnecessary details are stripped away so only the essence of object remains. This stripping goes to the extremes so only one table is left in the interior. Everything is subordinated to the enjoyment of wine.

OPERA HOUSE concept // teamwork

On the mouth of Danube river and Sava river in Belgrade, the concept follows location and its shape. River Sava is interpreted as audience (people), Danube River as art (opera). By merging these two rivers, people are merged with art. People and opera are one.
