Sewing: ♦ Sew all front sections and all back sections together separately. Note: don’t insert the zip just yet! Embroidery: ♦ The embroidery designs for the neckline facings have a neckline width of 17 cm in the original size. The yoke measurement is 102 cm, and the width can simply be cut to size after embroidering. Where the desired measurements differ, the size of the embroidery designs must be adjusted accordingly. ♦ All of the embroidery designs can be found on your embroidery computer, in the ‘Susanne Müller’ motifs folder. ♦ Embroider front and back neckline as well as yokes on a separate piece of fabric. Front yoke: Embroider design ‘SM 1’ first, followed by ‘SM 2’, then ‘SM 3’ on top in the centre. The reference points for aligning the designs are automatically stitched out. Back yoke: Designs ‘SM 4’ and ‘SM 5’. For the front neckline, select design ‘SM 12’. Design ‘SM 13’ is the back neckline. ♦ Cut out the embroidered neckline facings with seam allowances; iron and pin to the dress. Mark bottom edges of facings on the dress. Cut out the neckline of the dress with a seam allowance. Sew on facings. Close shoulder seams. ♦ Proceed in the same way for the yoke sections. It’s best if you put the dress on and place them at the desired height. Mark the top and bottom edge of the yoke on the dress. Cut dress apart and insert yoke. Insert back facing at the appropriate height. Close side seams. ♦ Finish dress as described in the pattern instructions. ♦

For the embroidered skirt section, use design SM 6, arranged as you wish. Combine designs SM 8 and SM 10 on the screen, which gives you a clear view, and ‘scatter’ as smaller designs between the big ones. You can save the combination as it stands in your personal folder for the next time. To achieve a uniform appearance for the skirt section, we recommend cutting out paper in the size of the embroidery design and arranging it provisionally on the dress.
Tip: With the aid of the BERNINA embroidery software (Editor Plus or Designer Plus), or the built-in ART DESIGN software you receive with the purchase of the BERNINA 830, the designs can also be printed out, and thus actually physically arranged on the dress. In this way, you can imagine your dream dress even better from the very start. Tip: You’ll find even more enchanting top-quality designs on the BERNINA Collection 7 ‘Exotic Rainforest’ embroidery card. To finish, iron on the black rhinestones. You’ll look simply fabulous in this dreamy dress!
