My chihuahua is about 3 years old and he wont stop barking. i got him 2 years ago and his barking is getting worse when im trying to make it stop. When he sees me picking up his leash he starts barking to go outside and wont stop and when populate come inside weather he likes them or not he starts barking. Way to remove the behavioral barking while visitors come inside, is that the visitors bring treats. When the doorbell rings, its ok for him to bark, go to him, put him to a liege near the door, so he cant go to the door, order discontinue.Now go to the door, open the door and if he starts barking, close it.After a minute, try it again and repeat from command until he does not bark. Then when hes quit, give him a piece of chicken to treat, compliment.Now, when he does learn this, you can also put a chicken bag outside the door, so visitors can give chicken pieces, your track will soon associate the visitors to treat and hell start to wait for friendly visitors.If you do walk in the street and your dog starts to bark to other people, change course as soon as he starts to grow. When he starts to understand that this is not going to happen, every time you approach other people, and he growls, you change direction.
