LMBassFish answers: First link will give ya’ some good ideas as ta’ what it’s all about (ha’, save me a lot of time at somethin’ I ain’t good at ie., typin’ ). Have a few friends that wanted to get into both Salmon and Steelhead fishin’ and have used this site with great results, matter of fact they be avid Bass fisherman/women themselves. For Salmon (Chinook = King Salmon which I generally fish for) when drift fishin’ a river from the bank, I’ll use a 7-8? drift rod with a level wind reel (baitcaster type) 14? # test = Salmon and 8# = Steelhead usin’ pencil lead w/ surgical tubing or what is known as a “slinky weight”, with a Spin n’ Glow (link below), followed by a trailer of Salmon Eggs (the real deal type, ya’ know the ones outta’ their bellie ), tied up in a Roe Sack. There be many a’ variations of different baits, lures, etc., annnd believe you me, when I can’t muster up one of the big boy’s I’ll give all of them a shot !! As for the yarn (I use flame colors, in red or orange) it is primarily used for an attractant (visual), generally tied on line (simple slip knot) right above eye of single hook trailered by, again a “roe sack” (below is a link for Atlas Mikes, who offers a roe sack tyin’ kit). This kit is a great start for the beginner (makes it a lot easier).

Oregon is a Steelheaders haven’ as far as I’m concerned! Have fished a LOT of rivers up there, ha’ I say up there because I be from Cali myself (unfortunately). Calackamas, Siltez, Umpqua, Alsea and we can’t forget the second Pacific Ocean the monstrous COLUMBIA are but a few, sooooo when ya’ get into it you’ll know the complete definition of “Haven’ “! There be some real good Salmon and Steelhead entusiasts on Answers, ONLY ta’ name just a couple ~Sharon and Abolone girl (she lives in OR..), those two along with the others ya’ shouldn’t have any problem with gettin’ some great feed-back on your question;)! “Fish On”, “Salmon On” annnd “Steelhead On”! (hey three times a charm, ain’t it!?) … Steelheader.net : http://www.steelheader.net/home/default.shtml Atlas Mikes : http://www.atlasmikes.com/index.php?page=product&id=203 Yakima Baits (Spin n’ Glows) http://www.yakimabait.com/catalog/html/Spin-N-Glo-p-1-c-269.html Oh’ Cheeet, “typer’s elbow has set in”! Good luck to ya’ and IIII’s a’ outta here … ~Skip Opps forgot ta’ mention an important thing, check Oregons fishing regs., if like down in Cali ya’ might have ta’ fish with barbless hooks?! Been a few years since I’ve been up there (8 ta’ be exact) and I can’t keep up with all the changes! Heck you should know what with you originally bein’ from California. Many thanks go out to our leader, “Arnie” …

Where is a good place to buy a new fishing rod and reel from and they can help too? Near the Milwaukee area! Thank you!
LMBassFish answers: Check out this website! It’s called Bass Pro Shops. This store is amazing and you’ll be surprised at what they can offer…every location is huge! It would have exactly what your looking for plus the expert service. There’s only one issue, it’s in Chicago. The drive would be just under 2 hours, but honestly, it’s worth it! Www.basspro.com Just look at the top of the home page and click on Store Info. It will give you a map of locations. And if you’re not willing to make the drive out, you can always make a purchase online and if you have any questions you can call any location! Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Where is a good area for Crappie? I live in Fenton, MO and am wondering if there is any ponds close for some good sized crappie i could catch from shore.
LMBassFish answers: “Fishing in MO Fenton, Mo., home of Denny Dennis Sporting Goods, is located along the picturesque Meramec River, where the bass and catfish action goes on year-round. A bit further down the road, anglers will find a wealth of lake-fishing opportunities, including Lake of the Ozarks and Truman Lake, located a couple hours away. Largemouth bass, crappie, white bass, hybrid striped bass, catfish, and walleye provide most of the excitement at these lakes. When one species isn’t cooperating, relax … chances are another one will. Missouri’s fishing season runs year-round; knowledgeable anglers work cool, spring waters using deep-diving crankbaits and jig-n-frog lures. As the lakes warm, topwater lures produce the explosive strikes that make grown men shake with excitement. Whether you’re plan is to river fish in town or take a short road trip to an area lake, let Denny Dennis Sporting Goods’ knowledgeable and friendly staff outfit you with everything you’ll need to make your fishing trip productive and enjoyable”. This is the fishing page info on the following sporting goods stores website right there in your home town. Have you gone in their store and talked to the fishing guys?

Do plus size models make women feel bad about themselves? What do you think? (this was a title of an article I saw on the Yahoo home page.)
LMBassFish answers: No. And lets be honest here. Plus sized models aren’t even really that plus sized. That’s what real women look like. Not bass fish on a stick.
