What was the last fish you fished for during the night??? I love night fishing especially tonight with the full moon…I threw a popper out there and had a MASSIVE bass that snapped my line clean…I need to get another popper now lol
LMBassFish answers: At night I adore the drainage ponds in the back of corporate section. The bass are so unpressured and temper-mental I am able to land a lot of them right on the bank in front of me. As far as my lure selection I love the black and white heddon propeller bait. If you tweak the propeller a bit you can throw a wide tail of water with a short twitch. The strikes are something amazing..don’t catch em’ all..

Is it to hot for fish to bite in Kentucky? It has been in the high 80s low 90s, no rain for 5 days. Been night fishing for past three nights. No bites at all. Had all kinds of bait out. On bottom and bobbers set at different depths. Is it to hot for fish to bite? Im fishing from shore. It is a resivor and under water is lots of rocks. What am I doing wrong? Up till June we were catching tons of blue gill, some bass. I havent caught a catfish yet this year but have seen others with them.
LMBassFish answers: No its not to hot! Fishing from shore with a bobber try setting so your bait is deeper. I fish a lot at night, but from a boat, for bass & hybrid stippers Blue Gills are harassing me as deep as 30 ft. On bluff walls. Fishing from the bank is hard to get to good locations this time of year. Try getting on main lake points, around visible weed beds, where points meet bluff walls. Fish are deep and will stay there until well after dark when the water temp starts to fall some. My best luck has been coming from Midnight till around 9 am. Good luck and don’t give up on the cats they are being caught any where from 10 – 30 ft around the same time periods I mentioned above. One more place you could try is if you can find where a bridge crosses the lake or stream/river, there is usually some kind of current present there which makes the fishing better.

LMBassFish answers: 1.) Do you fish from the bank or boat? Bank, if i owned a boat, i would fish on a boat more often. 2.) Live or artificial bait? I use live-bait for catfish & carp but, for bluegill, bass, crappie, trout and walleye i use artificial lures. 3.) With or without a bobber?

I hardly never use a bobber, unless i’m on a little ole’ creek fishin’ for panfish. But, i have a couple in the ole’ tackle box. 4.) Do you drink beer or soda? Soda … Nothing’s better than a cold Dr. Pepper. 5.) I fish in the daytime, but i would like to night fish. I get to sleepy during the night, so i mostly fish in the day. Catfish & Bass fishin’ is hot at night.

Why does my baby 2 inch long large mouth bass turn sideways at night? I feed it everyday and i notice at night my fish would turn sideways. Then when i turn on the fish lamp it starts to spin while swimming and after awhile it would stop then swim normally. But after i turn off the light it would turn sideways again and i turn the light back on he starts spinning again and he goes back to normal… so i juss leave my fish light on at night so that it wouldn’t start swimming sideways again… what should i do?

LMBassFish answers: Only use the lamp for like 4 to 6 hours a day the turn it off because the natural light through the widows should be enough.

How big was your largest Rainbow Trout ? Mine was 8 lbs..I caught it on a floting night crawler fishing for Bass . I was fishing from shore @ might be the best battle I ever had with that size fish . Don’t forget to star your favorite questions .

17 inches,the only one i have ever caught.caught by accident while i was small mouth fishing in a creek.caught on a 3? power tube.
