Brewster Beer Festival
FEM:ALE Brewster Beer Festivals has been going from strength to strength in its home town of Norwich, showcasing the f inest and most exciting beers in the industry. Now it’s coming to the Marlborough Pub & Theatre. While we know a pint of ale is a popular choice for women and men alike, FEM:ALE celebrates women who are actually doing the brewing within the industry. Historically and globally, making beer has always been a woman’s game so we’re here to dispel the reputation ale has in the UK for being made just by dudes with beards. All genders are welcome at this party!
Here’s what we have in store: Friday 6 th M ay from 6 pm We’ll be kicking off the weekend with a host of female DJs soundtracking a night of great beers and inviting all to come together to try a plethora of stouts, porters, pales, ambers and golds and dance the night away. Saturday 7 th M ay from 1 pm We’re taking over the streets, bringing you live music in the afternoon on our outdoor stage and a carnival of joyous booze to try. We’ll be showcasing some of the f inest female bands around, merging the music scenes of Norwich and Brighton, and going late into the night with more DJs and dancing. Seriously, we love dancing. Sunday 8 th M ay from 2 pm We’ll be welcoming some female beer experts to the pub for a discussion on the industry, how it’s changing and the history of women and brewing. There’ll be a chance to ask questions too if you fancy trying brewing for the f irst time or if you’ve been on the homebrewing for a while and want to hone your craft.
