1950s: The "New Look" Presented in 1947, Christian Dior's "New Look" defined the 1950s. After the austerity and limitations of a time of war, women dreamed of splurge of flying fabrics and skirts. Dior's fashion left the dark times behind to return to the feminine wardrobe the glamor, luxury and beauty that the war had taken from her. In 1949, Dior covered 75% of all French fashion exports.

2019: The "New Look" Lana Del Rey makes all the dissatisfied boys faint and all the girls get jealous. It has a style of its own. We remember the past with its modest and elegant dresses inspired by the 50s, 60's style sweaters and tight jeans, and its authentic look of bad girl of the 70s.

The cut can also be sophisticated (if you use it like Emily Ratajkowski and Bella Hadid) In red and combined with a knit skirt, high-heeled sandals and handbag; this is the perfect style with which the model has dismantled all the myths of the crop top It is almost impossible to separate the harvest from the casual, even sporty, style that accompanies it almost from birth. This garment, which occupies a privileged place in the cabinets of the twenties, provokes, however, a rejection once we turn thirty. Because we can not avoid having a relationship with Bella Hadid or Emily Ratajkowski, with their Juicy Couture tracksuits and low-waist flared jeans, combined with tops and very tight that show their abs perfectly marked. However, in the summer of 2019, we will end all the topics and fears that revolve around this ninth garment. Because, as we analyzed recently, it is possible to carry out a harvest with cowboys without losing a style of play, even for those who are not to teach the navel.

Fashion photography, large publishers. As we told you a few months ago in our article "What is a fashion editorial?", The editorial is much more than a representation of new trends. The most important thing is the story that counts, the way to capture these new collections. The work of professionals in the world of makeup and hairdressing, of the models, the stylist, the art director and, of course, the photographer, is fused to give it a unitary sense. This production, made for fashion magazines, consists of a photo session with a specific theme in which the new designs of the season share prominence with the environment in which they are framed. Great artistic works are achieved like the ones we are going to present next. Bazaar Icons. For the editorial of the magazine Of the King of the month of September of the 2015, the global director Carine Roitfeld was united to the photographer Jean-Paul Goude to realize a tribute to feminine icons of the history. For it was decided that the models were great celebrities of the present time, mainly actresses and singers who would give life to these women, real or not, but that we all know. Thus we find Willow Smith representing the Hindu goddess Kali, Dakota Johnson as Aphrodite or Mariah Carey as Queen Marie Antoinette. The models chose those women with whom they felt identified or who in one way or another were their source of inspiration. In this way, Jessica Chastain represented Joan of Arc because "she was a woman who fought against the straitjacket of society, a woman who swam against the tide." Oprah Winfrey played Glinda, the good witch of The Wizard of Oz because "I was very touched by the phrase she says to Dorothy, 'Power has always been in you.' It's a great message, we've all been born with it, we've always had it in our hearts. " For his part Chris Lee chose Coco Chanel, and as she explained "in China we believe that when someone dies, his soul stays with us. I really felt that Mademoiselle was with me that day. "

Panoplies. Since its creation in 1959, Barbie has become the most famous doll in the world. Many women remember it as the toy of their childhood, and still today rare is the case of a girl who does not have at least one with all her outfits and accessories. Barbie has evolved over the years becoming also an icon of fashion. We can highlight here the fun collection "Barbies Girls" by Jeremy Scott for Moschino in the spring / summer season of 2015. This same year, Vogue Paris decided to take inspiration from the international doll for its December editorial. The stylists Celia Azoulay and Claire Dhelens joined the photographer Giampaolo Segura to carry out this project. The models Magdalena Frackowiak and Elisabeth Erm thus became a human-scale representation of Barbie. These real dolls posed in a completely artificial and plastic, Barbie style, in huge cardboard boxes, each with the personality of a large firm. Dior, Moschino, Miu Miu, Chanel, Fendi, Emporio Armani, Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren and Valentino were the houses that dressed the models. The result is really worth seeing.

Astrology. In December 2010, Vogue UK made a most mystical editorial. The theme was astrology and the photographer in charge of the Tim Gutt project. The model Siri Tollerod posed in different scenarios inspired by each of the signs of the zodiac, twelve in total, dressed in each case of a different signature. So Christopher Kane dressed Virgo, Dolce & Gabanna Taurus, Nina Rici Cancer and Lanvin Leo. In this same line, German Vogue realized two years later the publishing house "Zodiac" in collaboration with Swarovski. The brand of cut crystals dressed the models with jewelry designed specifically for each sign of the zodiac. The result, worth the redundancy, is simply brilliant.
