OUTERWEAR 2020 & NOOS

#themarmarrainbow

OUTERWEAR Autumn 2020 is a rainbow of colour from MarMar Copenhagen. Earth tones inspired from nature – from tall leafy green trees, their rich brown bark and the autumn fruits they bear for us. Brought to you from a special spot in Iceland. As always, functionality, design and a sense for practical details make our outerwear long lasting and durable. Not to mention, oh so warm and comfortable to wear. Freedom of movement is always key in our design work. Enjoy the new season creating your own rainbow of colour from MarMar Copenhagen.

Rainwear Danish Design Our rainwear is designed with many practical features. It doesn’t just keep you dry. We have chosen a fabric that is lightweight and therefore, comfortable. The knitted trimming around the inside of each collar is gentle and comfortable as well as the fleece trim on the inside of the elastic cuff. Waterproof The outer fabric is PU coated allowing the fabric to be waterproof to 5000 mm. This also makes the garment windproof. All the seams are welded which prevent rain from getting inside the garment. Long-lasting In every detail, we strive to make our rainwear durable and long lasting. This is an interictal part of our sustainable philosophy. We want it to go from child to child and still look its best. Testing for harmful substances We test the water resistance and welded seams for their performance. The chemical test list includes among other chemicals; fluorocarbons with a special focus on PFOS / PFOA, ASO dyes, heavy metals and phthalates. All our rainwear lives up to the criteria’s in Oeko-tex standard 100, class 1.

Thermo Danish Design You’ll find people wearing thermal jackets and jumpsuits in the streets of Copenhagen. What started as an underground, casual cool movement by the ‘in’ few, has grown to an everyday look. Probably because thermal, as opposed to ultra-lightweight down is an all season, all weather look. At MarMar, our thermal is always muted in tone, blending in with your jeans and canvas. The lightweight fabric we use helps to keep you warm and comfortable. We think the ‘in’ crowd struck the right chord and now we all can enjoy it! Durability We only use YKK zippers on all our thermal jackets. Ribs are knitted with a durable blending of polyester and elastane for a good fit around the neck and wrist areas. Anti-static finish We give our thermal an anti-static finish which prevents static electricity of building up when you put on or take off your thermal clothing. Testing for harmful substances We regularly test all our outerwear for harmful substances. This season, we test for fluorocarbons with a special focus on PFOS / PFOA and for our Leo Foil Print, we also test for heavy metals. All our thermal lives up to the criteria’s in Oeko-tex standard 100, class 1, except our Leo Foil Print and the reflective piping, that lives up to Oeko-tex Standard 100, class 2.

Puffers Danish Design All our down puffer styles are designed with detail and functionality in mind. It’s very important for us that every part works properly, looks beautiful and is discreet and elegant. That’s why we hide sleeve cuffs and pocket snaps. We even added a herringbone ribbon along the zipper edge so that the fabric won’t get caught in the zipper when you open and close your garment. Our body lining is a soft polyester fleece matching in colour to the outer shell. Accountability All our down products contain registered Down Pass feathers and down. They are IDLF Laboratory and Institutes DOWNPASS certified which guarantee the quality, traceability and an ethical sourcing of the feathers and down. Comfort and Warmth Our puffers have a mix of 90% down and 10% feathers. This makes them extremely soft and the down percentage is a sign for high quality. Down feathers are small, warm and soft. Our baby puffer styles have lightweight fleece details that are cuddly for small wonders new to the world. Bio Water-repellent finish We apply an ecological water-repellent impregnation that is fluorine-free called Bionic Finish ECO. This finish is applied with a spray to the outer fabric so that it is water and soil repellent. Testing for harmful chemicals This season, we will test for fluorocarbons with a special focus on PFOS / PFOA and the verification for Downpass. All our Puffer styles lives up to the criteria’s in Oeko-tex standard 100, class 1.

Technical Outerwear Functionality We only use YKK zippers in our outerwear. Whether it’s putting on a jacket, crawling into a snowsuit or pulling on a pair of ski pants. Every zipper is matching in colour creating an elegant look. The neck tip is backed with soft fleece to prevent your child’s chin from a cold metal zipper tip. Danish Design We try and hide as many press buttons as we can for a clean, uncluttered look as seen around the hood and the invisible one in every pocket. Cuff and foot edges are reinforced with a durable polyester tape whose inner cord provides stability and adds longer life to edges. Necklines are made of a soft ribbed fabric adding warmth and comfort. And then there’s colour. We choose colours that will last for several seasons. Colours that are flattering and colours you’ll love to look at during the cold winter months. Breathability and Waterproof Children run and play so staying dry and warm is very important. Our fabrics are breathable – specifically 10.000 gr/m2/24. A special membrane on the inner side of the outer fabric, allows for air to be transported into, and moisture out, of the garment. Keeping your child warm AND dry. The membrane also allows the fabric to be waterproof to 10.000 mm. All the inner seams are taped. This prevents snow and rain from getting inside. Bio Water-repellent finish We apply an ecological water-repellent impregnation that is fluorine-free called Bionic Finish ECO. This finish is applied with a spray to the outer fabric so that it is water and soil repellent. Safety All our technical outerwear has reflective piping. This means that your child will be visible from a distance. The reflective pipings are all match colour making them discreet and enhancing the design and elegance of the look. We also add a name and address label inside every piece – just in case. Insulation We use Thermolite which is a polyester insulating material. It is light and fluffy which allows air to circulate around your child’s body. This regulates the child’s body temperature keeping them comfortably warm. All our pockets are lined in match colour soft polyester fleece.

Testing for harmful substances We test for technical details and harmful substances. We test for water resistance, our BIONIC-FINISH ECO finish, our Thermolite isolation, and the breathability and permeability to air of our outerwear. The chemical test list includes among other chemicals; fluorocarbons with a special focus on PFOS / PFOA, ASO dyes, heavy metals and phthalates. All our technical outerwear lives up to the criteria’s in Oeko-tex standard 100, class 1, except our reflective piping, that lives up to Oeko-tex Standard 100, class 2.
