ABOUT US If you take your time and read through the introduction of our company, you will immediately see how the past and present of Maros Mix Ltd. go hand in hand with the development and success of Hungarian match fishing. 30 years ago, two members of the then dominant Makó match team have decided to use their vast experience and began producing high-quality groundbaits for all anglers. Ever since, recipes have been constantly refined and new groundbaits and hookbaits have been developed, making our current product portfolio suitable for all fishing conditions and situations. As a clear evidence of all the work we’ve done, anglers of this workshop have formed every year the core of various Hungarian national teams. This page has not enough space to list the most prestigious victories of Maros match anglers last year, so we decided to dedicate an extra page in the catalogue for the trophies. In addition to the MAROS brand, the product range of Maros Mix Ltd. also features the ever-expanding line of EA products, building on the expertise of our field tester Attila ERDEI. Furthermore, combining the knowledge of World and European champion Tamás Walter and the decades-old manufacturing competence of Maros Mix, our Seria Walter product line offers a new class of solutions for float and feeder fishing. Finally, we are also official distributors of the Italian Tubertini company for the Hungarian and the Romanian markets. We are very proud of the growing interest in our products not only in Hungary but also abroad. We remain strongly convinced:

RESULTS 2020 was a year we will likely never forget. Due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, the International Federation of Sport Angling in Fresh Waters (FIPSed) has cancelled all the international events but the Hungarian federation (MOHOSZ) was able to organise all national championships. As a result, all MAROS team members, including those who are also on national teams, could fully concentrate on the national matches. In addition to the numerous individual titles, our match anglers made history by winning all three Hungarian National Leagues for Clubs. The Ministry of Agriculture awarded the Fishing Medal of Honour to Szilárd Barna, founding member of Maros Mix Ltd. Szilárd has spent most of his life and active years in the angling world, setting an example for everyone with his constant support for young anglers, top level tournaments and Hungarian national teams. His participation and efforts were essential in the decades of hard work which have finally raised Hungarian match angling into the world elite. Founded by him, Maros Mix Ltd. is a constant member of the national sport fishing sponsorship system. Despite his young age, Péter Bakó has already proved several times that he belongs among the best. The 19-year old former junior individual world champion has had an incredible year in 2020. In addition to the three club national championship titles, he managed to gain the feeder individual trophy as well. Furthermore, two bronze medals came from the method feeder and U20 coarse angling categories.

FEEDER This product line has been developed for feeder and traditional ledger fishing techniques. One of the most successful groundbaits for carp, the Method Box is made of premium quality halibut pellets and boasts a very strong aroma. Tried and tested for years, it will not let you down in the worst of conditions even when other baits give up. Available in 500+100 g packages. Each Method Box contains one decilitre of Maros Mix Extra Activator, which is a delicious aroma concentrate. Due to its special ingredients, this activator will spread horizontally on the bottom while dissolving. COLOURED BREADCRUMBS A relatively loose, light-textured and coloured course additive which is already an ingredient of most Maros and EA carp/bream groundbaits in varying proportions. When fishing over softer silt or in mid-water, this additive will come handy in creating a light active mix. Due to its larger particles, it will attract larger bream and carp as well. SINKING COLOURED BREADCRUMBS Compact and heavy coloured breadcrumbs that will break down slowly in your feed. Use them in deep waters with a flow and for river fishing in strong currents. When added to your deep lake mix, it will help your groundbait balls fall to the bottom faster and not to break up over a larger area. SOILS AND ADDITVES Match anglers have used terre de somme for a long time to achieve sensational results and this practice is becoming very popular among pleasure anglers as well. Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s a simple but very effective additive. You can apply it in various ways. Use it pure to carry joker or add it to your groundbait to make it heavier or to speed up its breakdown, or simply to increase its volume. Whatever the reason, the added soil will create a cloud effect and attract fish into your swim. BLACK COLOUR ADDITIVE When preparing the right mix for your venue, sometimes you need to adjust the colour of your groundbait. This is very important in clear water and during winter sessions when fish are extremely wary. This colour additive comes in dry powder form and should be added to your dry groundbait and mixed thoroughly with a whisk. Add more powder or whisk the mix longer to obtain a darker shade. Item no. SWEETENER Flavours are very important when fishing for silvers. Groundbaits come in various flavours like salty, fishmeal, lactic acid, butyric acid, garlic, etc. On the other hand, a significant portion of groundbaits is a spicy, sweet or fruity mixture based on carbohydrates. The sweet taste of the mixtures is a result of the simple and complex sugars that are extremely soluble in water, but this effect can also be easily achieved by sweeteners that far exceed the sweetening effect of sugar. Polenta is simply a boiled fine cornmeal. It is made of high quality dried/ground corn and has a lovely scent and flavour that big fish always fall for. The feeding version breaks down faster while the hookbait version will keep its consistency longer in the water. Available in various colours and flavours.

Adding liquid attractants to your groundbait is often the right path to nice catches. These soluble concentrates will dissolve quickly in the water, spread over a larger area and pull fish into your swim. Many groundbaits have their own base flavour and aroma, but this can be improved further or fine-tuned for your specific target fish. Available in 220 and 500 ml versions, you can use them for both easy fishing and when heavy feeding is required. Add 50-200 ml to 1 kg of groundbait. For carp, grass carp and crusian, we recommend sweet and fruity flavours. Spicy flavours are great for silvers while cheesy aroma should be your first choice when river fishing for barbel, nase and vimba. Apply the liquid attractant more generously when the water is colder and use it carefully when the water temperature is higher. When fishing in strong currents, donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t be afraid to add more to your groundbait but be cautious when fishing in still water and tiny lakes.

CSL attractants are available in bottles of 500 ml. Its sour and strong flavour is beloved mainly by big carp. Due to its high alcohol content, it will dissolve well even in colder waters. Corn milk is the best quality, slightly viscous extract of sweet corn. It has a sweet flavour and a perfect corn aroma. It is used as a main ingredient for dissolving boilies and also added to other liquid attractants to enhance their effectiveness. Add it to your mix to increase binding power but when it hits the water, it will actually help your bait break down faster.

STINKY big Carp Fermented seeds have been used successfully in carp and grass carp fishing for a long time. Finer groundbait and soft seeds are easily picked up by small fish but large fermented seeds will stay longer in your swim for the big boys. With their activity, the fermenting bacteria reveal and make the nutrients of plant tissues and seeds easier to digest. This is exactly why stored and fermented fodder is used so much in animal husbandry. The typical lactic acid flavour of these seeds will pull big fish into your swim, especially big carp and grass carp. Use them for feeding or as hookbait mainly during the summer months when the water temperature is high.The dry and ready-to-use fermented groundbaits are ideal for ledger and feeder fishing for big fish. The flavours will dissolve quickly, spread over a large area and attract big fish towards your hook. Use these groundbaits on their own or as a carrier for the fermented seeds in your feeder.

Pop up BOILIE A balanced hookbait is of utmost importance in boilie fishing. Pop-up boilies are much lighter than water so their high buoyancy will help balance the weight of the boilie hook. If this buoyancy lifts the hook off the lakebed, apply some lead on the hooklength to gently pull it back to the bottom. Pop-up boilies can also be used in bait combinations. For example, add a pop-up boilie to a normal high food content sinking boilie to balance it out and create a so-called snowman effect. This is very important when you are fishing in a silty lake with a soft bottom. When accompanied by a clouding groundbait in your feeder, these pellets are also great hookbaits for silver carp. During the method fishing sessions of recent years, I have come to the conclusion that the most important characteristics of a wafter pellet are its ideal size and optimal buoyancy. I mean its buoyancy must be perfect to balance the weight of the hook and its diameter must correspond to the size of the hook, Only when these parameters are in line can we begin to think about the colour and flavour of the pellet. Your choice of colour and flavour must be based on the transparency of the water, time of the day, water temperature, colour and hardness of lakebed, presence of silt, presence of plankton in the water and your chosen target fish. The dual nature of these MAROS EA waffles is determined by the dual colour and the double flavour effect. I think the sizes of 6 and 9 mm and the five pairs of flavours will give you enough choice to select the right pellet with the most effective size, buoyancy, colour and flavour for a given water and target fish. Recommendation: use Tubertini 881 hooks in size 8-10 for the 9 mm wafters and size 12-14 for the 6 mm baits.

ea trinity feeder The EA Trinity feeder rods are new and improved versions of a former range of Tubertini rods, incorporating the vast experience of Attila Erdei. Most notice the split EVA handle first and the reel seat also got moved forward a bit to provide a better forearm support. The eva handle makes rod maintenance easier. We have kept the 2+1 section structure, which performs very well under pressure. The rod is ultra slim and stiff, but at the same time yields a nice bend under pressure and absorbs shocks from hard fighting fish of various sizes. The shortest 2,7 and 3-meter versions are best suited for casts between 10 and 25 meters. In addition to margin and canal fishing, they can also be great companions for boat fishing. Use these beauties with a fine feeder rig and a long hooklength. I believe the top-pick amongst ambitious match anglers will be the 3,30-meter light version. Its main targets are whitefish and itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s a perfect choice for winter carping as well. During its one-season test period, this rod has helped me to section wins at the Hungarian Championship in Szeged and at the World Championship in Italy. The 3,60-meter medium rod is suitable for casts up to 50 meters and can also be used with light method rigs. Our product development resulted in having rings of the right sizes and in the right positions, making this a very handy rod. Even the quiver tips have been further developed. There is one additional ring on the tips and this yields a more consistent power distribution and bend. Furthermore, the tips have different potentials (0,75; 1 and 1,5 oz) but identical lengths. This is a great advantage when transporting your rod as there is no tip reaching beyond the lower rod section. These carp feeder rods have been developed for the specific needs of anglers using the method technique. Using the 3,6 meter rod with the 30-100 g MH casting weight, you can comfortably fish 70-80 meters from the bank. Depending on the exact distance, we recommend using a method feeder from 20 to 60 g. Gear up your rod with a size 60 reel, fully spooled with 0,18-0,20 mm main line. To be on the safe side, apply a shock leader of about 7 meters using a stronger braid on mono. The rod comes supplied with 1,5-2-3 oz quiver tips. A bit stronger version of the family, the 3,9 meter rod has a casting weight of 40-120 g (heavy). Using the above reel, lines and feeders, you will easily fish at a distance of 90-100 meters. Supplied with 2-3-4 oz quiver tips. The 4,2 meter rod is best geared with a 60-80 size reel with similar lines as above, allowing casts of up to 130 meters. With the 40-120 g MH cast version, you can use method feeders up to 80 g. In windy conditions, you might have to stretch your feeder weights to the limits to achieve precise casts. The ideal option for these rods is the 2 oz quiver tip, with the 4 oz tip as a back-up option for fishing in strong rivers. Designed to have optimal strength for casting, the EA Method Carp rods are at the same time soft enough to minimise fish loss and allow the use of sensitive hooklengths.
