A year ago, we made the change to our name from Palm Harbor Parks & Recreation to CSA Palm Harbor. This change was made to better reflect our presence within the community as the place to Meet, Play & Connect. Over that year, we’ve grown so much as a community and have increased our reach into the community. CSA Palm Harbor is dedicated to building a stronger community through affordable and quality programs, activities and recreational opportunities. Between our parks, The Centre, and all our community partners, we’ve got a lot going on here in Palm Harbor and so much to be thankful for! July was a great month for CSA Palm Harbor. One of our big achievements was finally getting our new roof at The Centre. This was a major project, as we have been dealing with buckets (literally) of water in our building every time it has rained. We were also host to so many weddings, parties and more - if you hadn’t heard, we have a great banquet facility here in Palm Harbor that’s not only convenient but affordable. For those of you who have stopped by, you’ve noticed the little ones running around this summer. Our summer camp programs have been a blast! Over 400 summers have gone through our doors and it’s been an awesome experience for all of us. This past month, we also had our annual Katz Free Fishing Series. Sponsored by the generous Katz Family Foundation, this program allows kids of all ages to experience the open water on a charter boat and learn how to fish. If you want to see photos from this great event, go ahead and visit us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/csapalmharbor) and see our photo albums! We are seeking donors to help us offset costs for the next year, so if you’re interested please let us know! Some good news… the Pier at Pop Stansell Park has been completely removed thanks to Pinellas County! October will be here before we know it, and that means it’s time for our annual Health Fair. The date is Thursday, October 3. Mark it in your calendar now!! Here at CSA Palm Harbor, we’re always open to your suggestions, comments and more. If you’ve got a program idea, an event to book or something you think we can offer the community… stop by and visit us! Our doors are always open for the community. We’re here as your place to Meet, Play and Connect. “Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you greater than any obstacle.” -Christian Larson
