WRAP-UP
Marquette University’s Graduate Program in Dispute Resolution Marquette University’s graduate program in dispute resolution is designed for people engaged in a wide range of professions — law, public service, land use planning, social services, nonprofit administration and more — who can benefit from enhancing their previous education with an understanding of the practical applications of dispute resolution. Students learn the processes of negotiation, facilitation, mediation, arbitration, dispute resolution systems design and public policy consensus-building. The program offers a 33-credit master’s degree program or a 15-credit graduate certificate program.
Marquette University’s Center for Dispute Resolution Education In 1993, Marquette established the interdisciplinary Center for Dispute Resolution Education. The center focuses on law, business, communication, education and psychology as they relate to the multifaceted issues in dispute resolution. The center engages in training and research, primarily with community-based partners, and actively seeks these partnerships. Funding is usually provided through local, state and federal grants.
