NEW PLYMOUTH - MOUNTAIN VIEW

In the shadow of stunning Mt Taranaki with access to some stunning surf beaches, this coastal city is the perfect base for exploring heartland Taranaki.

The city of New Plymouth offers beautiful parks and gardens including the famous Pukekura Rhododendron Park housing one of the world’s biggest collections of Rhododendrons and other exotic plants. Children are catered for with a Treehouse Trail and rainforest tracks.

There’s an eleven kilometre Coastal Walkway described as an absolute ’must do’. The landscape is perfect for tramping, biking, surfing, swimming and fishing.

The city also boasts a burgeoning arts scene which includes the Govett Brewster Art Gallery and Len Lye Centre, hosting world-class exhibitions.
