Last chance to comment on Dorchester Tourism

DORCHESTER’S Heritage and Tourism Community consultation on new tourism strategy closes at end of September.

Dorchester has over 6000 years of history and is seeing significant investment in heritage assets in the north of the town. The Town Council and the Dorchester Joint Heritage Committee are working with businesses in the town to encourage visitors to come and experience and enjoy the history of the town. A new strategy and action plan has been produced and the town council would love to hear your comments. Consultation on the strategy will remain open until the end of September and can be viewed at https://www.dorchester-tc.gov.uk/Services/ Heritage+Tourism+Project

Chairman of the Dorchester Joint Heritage Committee Cllr Gareth Jones said” The strategy has been a long-term ambition of the town council, featuring in its corporate plan since 2015. I would encourage anyone interested in the celebration of Dorchester’s history and heritage to take part in the consultation.”
