This project aims to break the gym’s toxic aesthetics stereotypes to address exercising as a way for everyone to become stronger for life, building community, develop resilience and mindfulness.
Inspired by the training’s world and various anatomical images, I imagined turning the human body into an amusement park to celebrate what the body can do and to show how exercising could be fun! In this surreal landscape the raids assume the shapes of characters and the organs become spaces to climb, ride and experience.
This sketchbook gathers all the thinking behind this idea and the design for the physical objects that will be and have been laser cutted, sculpted in clay, 3d modelled, and 3d printed.
