AuVision ENVISION MAGAZINE APP The initial ideas for Envision Magazineâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s app was to create a devotional app to further engage students on the Andrews University Campus. After conducting our fist survey, I had an idea for a app that allowed students to engage with the community around them by signing up for community service events. That idea realized itself when most students felt that required chapels were not en-

gaging and did not fit with thier unique schedule. While researching and planning for this app, there was an idea that came up to have the community service events be sorted by the personâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s spiritual gift. By taking a short quiz, each student would be shown thier unique spiritual gift according to the Bible and be able to look for events that they could grow that strength. The results of the research proved that students desire to be engaged on campus and that this app has potential to make obtaining chapels more meaningful.

LearningHub PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES My alma mater, Andrews Univeristy, has been using the same platform for online submissions of homework called LearningHub. The goal of the project was to modernize and re-establish this learning platform into an app version of the website. The current website is almost two decades old and it shows. As a result some teachers decide to forgoe using the site and it crashes often. Creating a custom application to handle submissions and the complex grading system was a necessay step in making the student submision process a lot simple then it is currently. This application could also be expanded to hold community-building tools as well -- another area of student life that students felt the school was neglecting.
