Theatre 27 National Theatre of Scotland presents Exodus Sun 11 September 2022 starts 7pm

Wed

Fri 7 October 2022 Wed

Tickets £13.20 Studio Written by Uma Nada-Rajah Directed by Debbie Hannan. Bold, satirical and uncomfortably funny, Exodus explores systematic deception and the indifference to human suffering. In her bid to become the country’s leader, Home Secretary Asiya Rao prepares to make a major policy announcement that will establish her as the front-runner of the political race. She embarks on a publicity stunt starting with a photo shoot by the white cliffs of Dover. But rather than the tide washing her reputation clean, something else washes up...Part of Made in Scotland showcase.

Stuntman is a new performance for anyone who has ever enjoyed a violent action movie (but felt a bit weird about it). It is an intensely physical, funny, and tender duet by two men who wrestle with their relationship to violence – both onscreen and off. Fusing the Pow! Biff! and Wallop! of over-the-top stunt fights with personal stories of real encounters with violence from the performers’ lives, exploring the relationship between violence and masculinity, and the impact this has on our perceptions of men. A fun and heartfelt show which is silly but caring and asks important questions.

Beth falls for Mark but the problem is – Mark falls for Tracy – who loves both of them. “Abigail Brydon radiates star quality in the central role of Beth” The Scotsman

Tickets £13.20 Studio Thu 20 October 2022 starts 7pm

Sisters Fatemeh and Shirin have been living together, in the same flat in Edinburgh, for 43 years. In this flat they cook, they read their coffee grains, they think about the fading memories of their childhood in Tehran and they listen to the radio. Although they live side by side, they never talk to one another. When a global pandemic hits and the sisters are locked in their flat, they are forced to reckon with their memories of a betrayal that changed the course of their relationship.

How much? We’ve printed the whole price of ticket in the brochure, this includes the booking fee (the only extra you’ll have to pay for is postage, but most tickets are now e-tickets that can be printed at home or shown on your digital device) - there could well be discounts for students, children, over 60s or Friends of Aberdeen Performing Arts - just ask or check online. Do I sit or stand? A bit of both - we try and create the right atmosphere for each gig, some will have seats, some won’t - we’ve tried to list it where we can here.

What do the times mean? If it says ‘doors’ then that’s when the doors open and you get inside for a drink. If it says ‘start’ that’s when the show starts. Some shows have support acts, we can’t always confirm this until nearer the time and ‘start’ can mean the start of the support act, not the main act.
