Goal of the course Scientific lectures will provide you with contemporary knowledg e on trauma of the orbit and the skull base and also with treatment of tumors in this region. The focus will be on t he interdisciplinary management in this region. Hands-on-cadaver laboratory training will additionally provide a unique opportunity to perfo rm the different approaches to the orbit and skull base region.

Course objectives After the course, participants should have:
An improved understanding of the complex anatomical structures of the orbit and the skull base Knowledge on current concepts in management of orbit and skull base lesions. Understanding of the importance of the interdisciplinary management in this region Enhanced their surgical skills in a variety of orbit and skull base approaches Discuss the problems, complications and intraoperative difficulties that can re sult when operating in this region
Course description Topics of the course will be taught in three main ways. Comprehensive lectures will concentrate on the understanding of the orbit and skull base region. Practical sessions with Hands-on cadaver will teach a step by step introduction of the different approaches to the orbit and anterior skull base region followed by an on-site demonstration. Participants will exercise the dissection under the coverage of the faculty. Discussions will be held throughout the course to link the lecture material and practical skills taught with the problems encountered by the course participan ts in their individual practice.
