Alex, Argentina 2016 Martin’s Uptown Store Manager, Alex, had the trip of a lifetime during his visit to Mendoza, Argentina in early April. “I don't think I have ever learned so much in a week; it was like getting a free master course in winemaking,” he said. Alex spent a significant amount of time with Estela Perinetti, winemaker at Luca and La Posta (see his wine recommendations below), who did a great job of explaining the winemaking process and shedding light on soil types and how they affect the flavors of the wine. La Posta “Paulucci” Malbec $17.19 Angel Paulucci was an auto mechanic. He immigrated to Argentina in his twenties and applied for a loan to open a garage. Lucky for us, the bank declined his request but offered to loan him money for a vineyard. Today, we reap the benefits of that decision and have La Posta Paulucci Malbec. This malbec offers cherry and raspberry notes with just a hint of spice and oak.

Chaman Petit Verdot $14.19 A great little wine that delivers a ton of value. This petit verdot is well balanced, has juicy red fruit & notes of herbs.
