The main objective of the design was to create a space that would be functional, open and sustainable. In addition, this is a historic home with a lot of antique features. So it is important to keep its charm and value intact. In doing so, by preserving historical features such as moldings, crown, doors, and windows. By including a foyer it would be proper to include in the space for a more formal way of transitioning between the outside and the interior of the home, vise versa. The living area was designed to be open and have easy access throughout the home. As for the kitchen it was completely gutted and remodeled. By extending the original square footage it is now more open and useful. A full bath was designed and made adequate by making it ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). The client also requested an area for work or personal use, so a full den was designed with the inclusion of a custom built-in and wall molding to go with the aesthetic of the home.

II | S T E W A R T • R E S I D E N T I A L S T U D I O The Stewart Residence strictly focuses on designing communal areas of the home. Amongst the areas to be designed were a living room, family room, dining room and an art studio. Focusing on the dining area the vibe was to create a formal space with a more Spanish Gothic aesthetic. Cooler and neutral tones where included in the palette to complete the design. A mixture of materials such as iron, metal and wood where the key feature to complement the design. As well as the inclusion of art to tie in the design. RH 1920 SPANISH CIRCA CHANDELIER

A combination of contemporary and traditional style this 125 seat space is located right off Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL. Toned with a more earthy palette it also includes materials such as iron, metal, concrete and accent woods for a softer touch. Known for its fair in Spanish authentic dishes, “The Villa” includes a variety of seating for its guests such as bar, booth, banquette, and tabletops. All fabric selections are commercial grade and meet the required amount of 100,000+ wyzenbeek. For acoustical purposes, panel dividers are located throughout the dining hall to control noise levels but as well as provide separate and private areas for the guests. Also, a dropped down ceiling panel with reclaimed wood planks was installed over the bar which is a great focal feature and acoustical solution. Lastly, in keeping with a fresh environment biophilia such as planter were placed throughout the space to make it feel more sustainable and welcoming to its guests.

AUTOCAD - Is a computer-aided design (CAD) program that is used for two and three dimensional design concepts. With the use AutoCad, it benefits the designer by implementing designs such as floor plans and elevations SKETCHUP - Is a three dimensional modeling computer program for wide ranges of drawing applications such as architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, and many more. PHOTOSHOP - Is a software specifically used for photo editing, image creation and graphic design. The

Odyssey is a place like no other. Key features include a lit up led wall as well as an aquatic aquarium feature between cafe and lounge areas for guests to fulfill and enjoy. Keeping it ADA compliant all access ways exceed or at minimum of 48”. In addition, the design includes a wavy drop down ceiling for acoustical control. In order to keep space sustainable multiple areas include biophilia planters for natural air quality.

V|CONEXIÓN•OFFICE STUDIO •CONCEPT STATEMENT• Located in downtown Chicago, Conexión is a Co-working environment welcoming all of its guests & employees. The goal was to create a design that would allow the public to socialize, be creative and is well furnished. In addition, the design also mainly focused on how to create space public vs. private, finding acoustical solutions, managing way-finding and improvising sustainable design. Inspired by the late 60’s, Conexión is based of a mixture of both contemporary and modern elements that bring the aesthetic to life with a rich & bold palette. The intension of the design was to keep private areas band together near the main entrance for closer access and acoustical control; therefore keeping all open and public areas on the opposite side of the complex. Adding materials such as wood was a perfect solution for both acoustical control and way-finding purposes. Keeping stainability in mind, renewable resources and materials were contributed to the design. As well as selecting all fabric selections to meet commercial grade & exceed 100,000+ wyzenbeek.
