The first years of faculty it is more appreciated to have hand drawn projects at our faculty. Since it places great emphasis on hand drawings there are subjects to develop these certain skills. At the same time it is crucial to understand and think in threedimensional spaces. For these skills we have different methods to develop, spanning from Monge- projections to recreate actual buildings in axonometry through sections and floor plans. I selected my work of Ely Cathedral, because it needed huge amount of discipline to find every line and recreate precisely the aisles and the nave.

TOURIST HOUSE supervisor: Peter Klobusovszki Public Building Design 2 klobusovszki.p@kozep.bme.hu 2013 spring
In this work the task was to design a tourist house near Budapest in the suburbs. It is the very end of the town next to a wide forest, which is a good start for hiking. The situation then was to find the connection with the town and the forest. It had to fit both for people with higher standards and whole groups of preliminary school students as well. The inner courtyard is slightly separated from the surroundings, so the privacy is provided for the residents. The two blocks separated from the main dormitory area gives the opportunity to small, 6-8 people groups to rent these houses. The conference room is next to the entrance and can be filled with up to 40 people. The buildings are connected with roofs only above the pathways. It provides as much sunlight as possible and creates the feeling of one big building.

The mosaic-like placement of the buildings in the transitional zone can result in segregation. The area chosen for our designs is this kind. It was intended for residential purposes but then abandoned as the city quarter developed. Despite the favorable transport links and industrial environment there were problems because of neglected green areas and empty lots between houses. In our designs we considered it important to focus on residents’ behavior, sustainability, and maintaining local specifics. As a local I could contribute to the design process with sensibility and by interviewing locals we could widen our project to fulfil their needs. The finalization and documentation of the project was made in ArchiCAD Teamwork and worked all together in a studio.

SUPERMARKET SPORTS HALL
SUMMER: the stack effect will ventilate the air in the apartments
hybrid operation biomass furnaces will provide heat to save up to 44% of heating requirements
WINTER: hot air collected in the chamber will be pushed into the apartment by a fan
roofs hold tanks to collect rainwater for cleaning, flushing and washing purposes and underground cisterns are for watering
with a southern orientation heavy duty batteries can provide up to 60% of energy requirements
recycling system in every block and waste collectors on every floor
An intermodal junction planned for the near-by metro station and the circular rail line was the trigger for us to respond to the problems of the area with a comprehensive proposal that viewed the block in context and was oriented towards the future. We considered building in a spatial context shaped essentially like funnel
The variety of apartments respect to both size and ownership. Some will be owned by the local government and rented to low-income residents, while other will be rented at market rates. The expanded corridors between the buildings will operate as community spaces. 40 to 60 apartments have been placed in each building and block. The sizes of the apartments vary, which ensures the possibility of mobility and should prevent deterioration into slums.

RESIDENTIAL HOUSE with/supervising: Andras Gelesz Professional work 2015
The location of the building site is in a former industrial area. In the late 60’s inhabited the neighborhood and now is under renovating. With the regulations given, the task was really hard to fulfil the investor’s needs, though we found a solution to place the garage in front of the house, blocking the view from the street. In this private situation a swimming pool is situated behind the garage with a sauna block, which connects the garage and the house. The roofs of these blocks are green terraces and rooftops for the family. The house itself has two stories and the central body has one big space and a bridge connects the upper floor’s rooms. The construction has already started and this was my first professional project in which I was co-designer and documented on my own.

The European Architecture Students’ Assembly is the biggest architecture students network in Europe. Through EASA I had the opportunity to get to know new people, cultures and types of architecture education. After having been participating 3 EASAs I realised I want to share more with the community and decided to apply for tutoring a workshop. We won and could realise The Ting. The Ting is a human-scale music box, in which the steel sticks hit the tuned up pipes in a certain order by rotating, the central axis from which the sticks spike out. This certain order ends up a melody in the end. This workshop gave me knowledge to organize time, lead a team and work together with a fully equal partner.

with: Dalma Faddi, Miklos Dorman, Peter Medvegy Betonhinta at BETON workshop 2014 Spring
The BETON workshop was organized by a group of designers and architects. The idea is to get people closer to concrete through workshops and lectures. We came up with the idea to cast concrete swings all over the city, since concrete is resistant to weather and it fits into the concrete jungle we live in. Through the semester we learnt how to deal with different kinds of concrete, the attributes of certain mixtures through one-day workshops and lectures. Individually, I was more into the realisation of the work, putting together the cast and pour the concrete. The project turned out so good that the swing has been exhibited at several festivals as promotional material for the association.
PERSONAL PHOTOGRAPHS Selected works
I have always been interested in photography, since my father gave me his first analogue camera. That was only a throwaway one, but I was fascinated, so started following my father on family trips to tell me the tips and tricks. Later on, I could use better cameras, but still I am better at snapping moments than building up scenes. That is why I usually use my phone and capture almost everything I find interesting. Though on studies for university I use DSLR ones, because my opportunities to express my ideas through photography are broader. My personal opinion is that photography made me more sensible towards the world and I can feel I am observing more of my surrounding. I have never considered myself a photographer, I am a true amateur, who loves doing what he does.
