“Lentils and Shatta get stuck inside the little pasta tubes, bombarded by crunchy onions, leading to a textural orgy - Serious Eats
Inspired by the Egyptian street culture and local night life of old Cairo, the project draws its inspiration and celebrates the process of one of the very famous street food - Koshari. The chaotic explosion of flavors in a Koshari dish is only complemented by the folklore and atmosphere of the Egyptian Sufi dance, Al Tannoura, where the colors and moods are only accentuated and elevated.

Woven baskets are part of the heritage of Egyptian native people, it is one of humankind’s oldest art forms, and it is certainly an ethnic and cultural icon filled with myth and motifs.
Cheered by the woven basket’s vibrant colors and geometric motifs, came the idea of designing Maison De L’Egypte restaurant in Bahrain, animated by a colorful color palette and contemporary Egyptian patterns.
