In response to climate change concerns and the rate at which sea-levels are rising, it is imperative to consider alternative sustainable methods of building that can accomadate a practical approach to living and working simultanously. Furthermore, recognizing an enviromental condition that is unique to the project’s site, the Dibba rock in Furjairah, namely that coral and marine enviroment that used to thrive under and around the rock is at an increased risk due to irresponsible tourism and polution; it became important to prioritize a project program that did not only solve for practical human problems, but also enviromental ones.
A design proposal for a oating Coral Reef Research Headquarters facility, diving center, recreational facility and scientists' research residences anchored around the Dibba Rock in Fujairah - UAE, that protects the Dibba Rock's lively bio-marine life and aims to restore the coral reefs through the facility's program of 3D printing coral reef habitats. The water-urban proposal employs sustainable strategies in effort to go green, in addition to steel-mesh coral gardens used for research by the coral reef research headquarters; as well as to store and maintain 3D printed corals until they have matured and can be moved to their new permanent homes in the seabed.

Holistic Wellness Center Marrakesh, Morocco
Postcolonial Morocco is no exception to the phenomenon of enduring social and cultural catastrophes produced by post-colonial legacies. Although history recognizes the “Moroccan crisis” as the time spanning from 1912 to 1956 where Morocco became a French and Spanish protectorate, the detrimental foreign influences continue to impact multiple aspects of Moroccan culture and life. As part of establishing administrative power and “the legitimization of Western superiority, the creation of differences showing the inferiority of uncivilized, non-developed [Moroccan] peoples” became the strategy of colonial powers to conquer; French and Spanish authorities administered health care on behalf of the Western world as “physicians would rescue [the Moroccan public] from their predicament and save them from disease”. Furthermore, colonial powers soon recognized their inability to exercise dominant control over their Moroccan subjects: due to the gendered nature of medical knowledge in Morocco, the Moroccan female medical practitioner became the central antagonist sparking resistance against colonial dominion; and thus, a denunciation and delegitimization of these women as “witches and sorceresses” became an inevitable colonial response; which in turn, caused an erasure and a dissolution of the traditional natural medical practices which were inherited across multiple generations.
This Holistic Wellness Center aims to promote and preserve a natural wellness lifestyle that is inherited from traditional Moroccan medicine. The project includes an exhibition and educational center about 6 indigenous medicinal plants (argan, neroli, myrtle, caraway & ginger), natural therapy facilities as well as 24 boutique lodging units.

This project aims to conceive a volumetric massing solution which will satisfy the required brief of the project. The proposal will address the coexistence of main programmatic components and commercial, landscape/public space components on the site, solving issues of accessibility/circulation and volumetric integration in the existing urban fabric of downtown Sharjah.
This project adapts the typical ofďŹ ce building, conceived as a cliff, with a dynamic landscape that crawls out of the existing Al-Majaz Public Park, and begins to unfold; creating a series of cool water-scape public spaces that invites the people of Sharjah to interact, socialize in a comfortable micro-climate.

This project synethesizes photographed images in conjunction with advanced digital modeling and rendering techniques to construct transcendental Systems and Landscapes that explore the desert imaginary of the United Arab Emirates.

Digital Fabrication
In this version of the paramorph, a section of the complex geometry is defined through a grid of units that subscribes to the doubly curved surface. The units are free to deform in order to allow for a high resolution definition of the doubly curved surface. The final artifact used 3D printing techniquest to bring-forth the design to realization.

Pottery
Drawing inspiration from mythological and fantastic creatures; dragons, the dragon ocarina has seven ďŹ nger holes for changing the pitch. The hollow egg-shaped abdomin makes the ocarina light in weight, and is where the sound is produced. The appendages added to the dragon’s scaly neck is for further support and ease of grip.

Advanced Digital Fabrication Long-exposure Photographs
This project introduces the robotic arm (KUKA PRC) as a tool for engaging with materials in a digital fabrication work-flow. Inspired by the geometry and logic of the succlent Crassula ‘Buddha’s Temple’, the tool path were digitally designed, then long-expoure photographs were taken as the robotic arm, fitted with an LED light fixture followed that path.

Advanced Digital Fabrication Ink Drawings
This project develops the utilization of the robotic arm (KUKA PRC) as a tool for engaging with materials in a recursive analogue-digital manner. Developing the geometry from the previous project, the robotic arm was ďŹ tted with 3D-printed pen holder, a pen, then two drawings were produced by allowing the robot arm to translate the digitally-designed toolpath to a physical drawing. The panels increase in extrusion depth, from shallow to steep; although there are 6 types of panels used in the final array; only four have been chosen to represent the range of depths that span between 7-18 mm.
