Getting out Of the House Talking, about getting out of the house, yesterday my journey took me to Conyers Georgia my old neighborhood. To me, it has always felt like a place where things seem to come together at least for me and my family. It is funny we ended up there while deciding which direction to go, immediately we had sense of peace and quiet. Just outside of Atlanta. Conyers has emerged as an up and coming much larger area. recently moving out of the area, no wonder we ended up back there to do our banking also the food is good. Among other things our plans are to get pedicures and manicures. Earlier, in this very same shopping mall suddenly, police cars seemed to come from out of nowhere, not uncommon for “the times we live in.” I had my cellphone out already but not to record the police action “five or more police cars pulled up and surrounded a young black lady.” It is only natural to watch how they handled the incidence; about four are five white policemen interrogated the women, then we saw a black female police officer search the suspect. As if she had stolen something, we watched to see if they were following protocol. No one was thrown to the ground are arrested. In fact, most of the police cars pulled off leaving the area. Only, the female officer and another white police officer remained.
Even though, the police seemed to handle the situation but because she was black in my mind, it is playing out was this a form of racism? I am not a reporter nor a police officer. Keeping our distance should be our motive not running into a scene of the crime..
