Women’s Art and Cultural Centre Iran, Tehran BACHELOR Thesis Project Summer 2013 Iran is an Islamic country in which using facilities and doing exercises in the form of mixed genders is not permitted legally, resulting in women’s activity being diminished dramatically due to the lack of space for women. This situation made me think that the creation of an environment in which women could spend their time delightfully and play an important role in society and their own life can be very helpful for the benefit and development of society. Women’s center of culture and art is a space designed for women’s activity to discover their different talents, which could create a happy, delightful and free environment with proper architecture and spacing while complying with Iran’s Islamic rules. The reticular shape of the façade holds the sense of beauty and feminity and provides the proper covering and lighting for the building. Besides, the layout of buildings in the form of walls around the site has created safe and secure privacy for women while simultaneously providing the main street view’s utility.

The aim has been to identify the side effects of daylight use and sunlight penetration in classrooms, such as the annoying presence of sunlight on the desks and the extensive use of curtains, to overcome them in the future using innovative fenestration arrangements and design.

“serene” wellbeing center canada, toronto interior design student project, commercial design winter 2022 The process of immigration and settlement is inherently stressful, combined with bigger stressors like unemployment, separation from family, discrimination and prejudice, language barriers and lack of social support, which make the well-being of recent immigrants of particular concern. We believe that through an integrated wellness platform facility that promotes social interaction, physical activity, and making healthy lifestyle choices, the wellness of immigrants and newcomers will be improved. Serene Wellbeing Center is designed for Immigrants to strike the perfect balance between a calm, healing, and trustworthy atmosphere while offering tools and new perspectives for coping with the day-to-day challenges and emotional burdens brought about by personal and societal complexities.

DELMAR CUISINE canada, toronto interior design student project, COMMERCIAL design winter 2021 Delmar is an upscale-casual restaurant in Union Station, Toronto, boasting a menu inspired by authentic Colombian cuisine. The design for Delmar will be based around the concept of sailboats and how they navigate through the Colombian waters. The name “Delmar” was chosen for its Spanish origin, meaning “of the sea”. The logo was designed with this meaning and the inspired colour palette in mind. An upscale-casual restaurant boasting a menu inspired by authentic Colombian cuisine. Based on the concept of sailboats and how they navigate through the Colombian waters, the name “Delmar” was chosen for its Spanish origin, meaning “of the sea”. The logo was designed with this meaning and the inspired colour palette in mind. The concept of sailboats has been worked into various details of the restaurant design using shades of blue, materials such as linen and natural woods, the custom wave-like ceiling, the design of the bar, and the lighting fixtures. The ceiling mimics the waves created by the sailboats’ movement. The use of curved lines through the seating and the bar are reminiscent of the shape of the hull of a sailboat while the varying shades of blue used in fabrics reflect the hues of the ocean. Delmar’s design reflects its menu offerings: Colombian seafood restaurant with a modern flare. Colombia is the only South American country that has a coastline on both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, creating an influential fusion of flavours. The menu will present a twist on traditional dishes like Colombian ceviche, fried mojarra and seafood chowder. Guests will also have a chance to enjoy colourful drinks and a variety of tapas such as empanadas, tostones and fried pork belly. wUtilizing more raw and natural materials throughout the restaurant will reinforce its South American roots. The space will also feature an open kitchen with a sit-up section where guests can enjoy their meal with a full view of the action. Handmade bar stools designed by Colombian artist Camilo Andres Rodriguez Marquez, inspired by the country’s natural environment will help build authenticity. Working alongside professionals or vendors of Colombian ethnicity will bring credibility and a greater sense of community to its patrons.

FASHION DESIGN PROJECT

zarbaahang Iran, Tehran MINI COLLECTION/ 7TH FADJR CLOTHING FESTIVAL Summer 2018 The project entitled “ Zarbaahang “ is not only a tribute to the Iranian architecture, but a reinterpretation of the forms, shapes and designs found in traditional Iranian architectures. As a result, the “Golestan” palace was literally projected both into this new collection, from the façade mosaics to the curvy, aesthetic and sensual design of pillars and gateways. For instance, the mesh fabric made of interwoven ribbons “checkerboard” is literally inspired of the mosaics, bricks and other tiles used on the facades of the palace. The fabrics design techniques used to achieve each piece is the result of a long, well though and meticulously engineered set of procedures. Indeed each finished piece, be it the dress, hat or even accessory will be largely dependent on the textural properties of the engineered fabrics.
