CAYUGA HOSTS TRANSFER FAIR By Megan Swartwood, editor-in-chief
Representatives from 40 colleges came together last Wednesday for CCC’s transfer fair. They provided students with information on easy transferring and helped students decide where they may want to continue their education.
Megan Swartwood EDITOR-IN-CHIEF Rocky Feola, Senior Admissions Advisor of the College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) spoke with many curious students about transferring and what type of things SUNY ESF has to offer. Feola explained that ESF has a, “transfer agreement with Cayuga,” meaning that students can take up to two years of an ESF degree at Cayuga and then continue this degree easily at ESF. All credits taken at Cayuga are, “guaranteed to transfer,” says Feola. This also applies to other schools that have transfer agreements with CCC, such as Oswego. ESF also provides many scholarships such as need-based and merit-based scholarships. “Everyone is considered upon acceptance,” for the merit-based scholarships says Feola. Another college in attendance at the Transfer Fair was Cazenovia College. Cazenovia is heavy on liberal arts such as fashion design and visual communications. They also have many majors that focus on business and allow the student to focus in on something that they would like

to do with a business degree, such as art management. Samantha Wessing, Assistant Director of Admissions at Cazenovia College, says that, “it is simple process to transfer to Cazenovia,” as long as the college provides a program that the student is looking for. She says that they, “try to make the transition as seamless as possible so that there is less work that the student has to do.” The next transfer fair will take place in the Spring. Please be sure to stop by and learn about the different colleges and career paths that you can take when transferring to a four-year school!
