Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in Nashville release new video “Undivided Heart” to inspire vocations to religious life May 8, 2021 (Nashville, TN) – Young women who are considering a vocation to religious life do not always have ready access to resources to assist them in their discernment process. A new video from the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in Nashville, Tennessee aims to change that. On Saturday, May 8th a new vocation video, “Undivided Heart,” is being released through the Dominican Sisters’ website, www.nashvilledominican.org . “It is with great joy that we share the congregation’s new video, ‘Undivided Heart,’ on the Feast of the Patronage of the Blessed Mother over the Dominican Order,” stated Mother Anna Grace, O.P., Prioress General. “We pray that this short video will inspire young women who are discerning a vocation to consecrated life, and draw them to consider whether God might be calling them to life at St. Cecilia.” Filmed and edited by Likable Art and producer Cory Heimann, this short video featuring the life and charism of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia has been a work of love. In production for over a year, the video’s title is inspired by St. John Paul II’s seminal document on consecrated life, Vita Consecrata, in which he describes the vocation of women and men religious as a response to a call to devote themselves completely to Christ with an undivided heart. “This is at the core of who we are as consecrated religious,” said Sister Mara Grace, Director of Vocations for the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia. “We are totally dedicated to Christ, and the title of this new video is meant to highlight this reality.” In 1860, the Congregation of Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia was established in Nashville, where its Motherhouse is located. The Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia are dedicated to the apostolate of Catholic education. The community of just over 300 sisters serves in 41 schools throughout the United States, with mission houses also in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia; Vancouver, Canada; Rome and Bracciano, Italy; Elgin, Scotland; Sittard, The Netherlands, and Limerick, Ireland.
