MSAC financial support this year alone has allowed us to expand our programming and offer many more workshops on Bomba and Plena, and fund Cultura Plenera hosted events to another 5,000

Marylanders. We are extremely appreciative of the support provided

by Maryland Traditions and intend to redouble our efforts to continue our contribution to the vibrancy of Maryland folk expressions.

73 Creativity Grants serving 21 counties totaling $191,123

Through the MSAC Creativity grant, I was able to create a new body of work consisting of 6 drawings that explore and process my experience of pregnancy and postpartum. An exhibition will be followed by an artist panel that brings conversation

Our MSAC General Operating Grant, year in and year out, enables us to (1) bring excellent art to our audiences, engaging our communities

in a shoulder-to-shoulder exploration of our humanity, and (2) excite students of all ages with relevant theatrical experiences in the theatre, in the classroom, and in their communities.
